Any of you guys like Radiohead? I'm sure you do. I'll go first.
A heart that's full up like a landfill,
a job that slowly kills you,
bruises that won't heal.
You look so tired-unhappy,
bring down the government,
they don't, they don't speak for us.

I LOVE Radiohead, but came at them in an unusual way - I had OK Computer for a year and listened to it about 3 times and gave up. Then a friend, against my will, forced Hail to the Thief on to me and I thought (as I do now) that it was one of the most remarkable albums I've ever heard. I know it gets a pretty bad press (even from the band), but I love it!
My favourite lyrics have got to be:
"There's a gap in between
There's a gap where we meet
Where I end and you begin
And I'm sorry for us
The dinosaurs roam the earth
The sky turns green
Where I end and you begin
I am up in the clouds
I am up in the clouds
And I can't and I can't come down
I can watch and cant take part
Where I end and where you start
Where you, you left me alone
You left me alone
X will mark the place
Like the parting of the waves
Like a house falling in the sea
In the sea"
One line from In Rainbows really connected as well: "You are my center when I spin away".
Actually, there are a lot of lyrics that connected with me. I'll probably be back later.
"Tonight we sleep with the girls from the streets"
i would if i could understand a bloody word the guy says!![]()
Morrissey: turning sickness into unpopular song (since 1983)
that's my favorite song from Hail to the Thief
I got into Radiohead when a random person back in 1999 told me to go out and buy The Bends cuz it was a perfect record. So I did, and then they became my favorite band. until a couple years later when I discovered the Smiths. I still love them though.
I'll be back later to contribute more lyrics.![]()
It's this - no doubt:
I jumped in the river and what did I see?
Black-eyed angels swam with me
A moon full of stars and astral cars
All the figures I used to see
All my lovers were there with me
All my past and futures
And we all went to heaven in a little row boat
There was nothing to fear and nothing to doubt
I used to have that a signature last year.
Straight and to the point.
Lurgee from pablo Honey
I feel better,
I feel better now you've gone
I got better,
I got better, I got strong
I feel better,
I feel better, now there's nothing wrong
I got better,
I got better, I got strong
Tell me something,
Tell me something I don't know
Tell me one thing,
Tell me one thing, let it go
I got something,
I got something heaven knows
I got something,
I got something I don't know
I'll be waiting
With a gun and a pack of sandwiches
Not Radiohead, Thom Yorke:
Buy a ticket and get on the train
Buy a ticket and get on the train
Cause this is fucked up, fucked up
Cause this is fucked up, fucked up
People get crushed like biscuit crumbs
And laid down in the bed you made
You have tried your best to please everyone
But it just isn't happening
No, it just isn't happening
And it's fucked up, fucked up
And this is fucked up, fucked up
This your blind spot, blind spot
It should be obvious, but it's not.
But it isn't, but it isn't
You cannot kickstart a dead horse
You just crush yourself and walk away
I don't care what the future holds
Cause I'm right here and I'm today
With your fingers you can touch me
I'm your black swan, black swan
But I made it to the top, made it to the top
This is fucked up, fucked up
You are fucked up, fucked up
This is fucked up, fucked up
Be your black swan, black swan
I'm for spare parts, broken up
I'm on a roll,
I'm on a roll this time
I feel my luck could change.
Kill me Sarah,
kill me again with love,
it's gonna be a glorious day
"i'm not here
this isn't happening"
have they got an instrumental song?
if so, that would have my favourite Radiohead lyric!
i am a moth
who just wants to share your light
that's my current favorite
That'd be mine too, although all the songs on The Eraser have great lyrics. However, and this is something that's been bugging me for ages and which I've never got to the bottom of, I always heard "bed you made" as "bitumen" - as in the road surface stuff. Listen to it closely and tell me what you think. Are these the official lyrics or just someone's internet transcription? If you can help me solve this great mystery, I shall be forever in you debt.
Coiff.
"Black Star" is probably my favorite song. All of it.
All the things you've got
That you'll never need
All the things you've got
I've bled and I'd bleed to please you
