Ok so, I don't care about Morrissey bootlegs and MP3's as much as I would like to hear The Nosebleeds. I guess they never formally recorded anyhting but how will I ever know what they sounded like....anyone? Thanks in advance.

They sound, er... awful. Usual sort of rawky-shouty-punk stuff, you know? You can easily find some MP3 by them if you use audiogalaxy.com or something simliar.

BTW, the only song I've heard for them is "I don't need no education" or whatever...

I've got a copy of "Kinnel Tommy" by Ed Banger on Rabid Records, Tosh 106. It was recorded at 20 Cotton Lane, Withington, Manchester, in 1978. Ed Banger was the lead singer with The Nosebleeds. The Nosebleeds recording is called "Ain't Bin To No Music School" with the B-side "Fascist Pigs" also on the Rabid Record label, catalogue number Tosh 12. That was from 1977.

P.s. on Kinnel Tommy, it is a sort of joke record, Kinnel is a more respectable way of saying f**k-in-hell.

What did Morrissey do with them, if not sing? Where is Ed Banger now? Did they make another record? You have been really helpfull Grim. Do you think they suck? You live in England, don't you...

I assume he did sing after Ed Banger left. But seeing as "Ain't Bin To No Music School was released before "Kinnel Tommy" I would assume that Ed Banger was the lead singer on both, therefore (unfortunately) Our Moz was not recorded (officially at least) with the Nosebleeds.

I think Ed Banger joined the band Slaughter & The Dogs, quite a good Manchester punk band, if you ever get the chance listen to "Where Have All The Bootboys Gone?".

You can also get 'Kinnel Tommy' more easily on a Manchester City FC songs compilation, by Cherry Red Records released around 1997 / 98
Cherry Red released lots of these CD's with individual football team related songs or songs (usually embarressing) by football players of that club.
I can only assume Ed Banger is a City fan as the song itself bares no relation to City, though it is a song about football.
Morrissey appeared in a reformed 'Nosebleeds' after Mr Banger left, correctly as stated, to Slaughter and the Dogs. I think they only played 2 gigs before calling it a day. The book 'Severed Alliance' covers this brief period well.

In June this year, Ed Banger and the Nosebleeds reformed and played at the Witchwood in Ashton-U-Lyne (9 miles east of Manchester) and Slaughter and the Dogs continue to play at punk festivals etc, but not with Ed as singer.

Thanks! Wow, I need to read that book. It's nice that I can get some answers here though. I'm making plans to see Manchester before too long.
