    Phil Collins drumming for Morrissey?
    What a wonderful image!

It's so bizarre to imagine Phil Collins and Morrissey on the same stage.
    Well, glad it never happened.

I'm surprised they didn't offer him Elton John on piano too. LOL!

There’s an (odd) pairing that I (and maybe only HIM) would like to see.

Guess Moz didn’t want Buster stealing his thunder.

I must shamefully admit that "Against All Odds" is one of my guilty pleasure songs.

wow, that felt really good to get off my chest..

For me, this conjours up not only the image of Phil drumming for Moz, but also, and, more entertainingly in my opinion, the image of the Cadburys Gorilla. I reckon he'd have done a great job

modrevolve, I like you more with each day

I caught American Idol last night and the kid who may win it all sang Phil’s “Another Day in Paradise”.

I had just tuned in during his song and was excited thinking that Phil would be a guest judge or all the contestants would be singing a Phil song. No to both. Ah well.

Oh I hate the whole guilty pleasures thing! If a song is fantastic, then it's fantastic. No-one (over the age of 19) should really care to which musical genre it belongs, how it's been marketed, or how cool it is deemed to be.

I bought 'Rule the World' a few weeks back. It's not a guilty pleasure; it's just a bloody good song!

BTW..has anyone on Idol ever sung a Morrissey song? I'd love to hear the judges reaction to that one..

    From the article:
“I find it very disappointing. These artists don't seem to have a responsibility to their audience. Morrissey pulled out two weeks before the festival [in 2005], claiming he was never booked, and he told us he didn't have a drummer.
I'm sure Mike Joyce wasn't doing anything that weekend........

Funny you say that..Mike Joyce appeared in a dream of mine last night..for some reason he and I were playing in a band together and the other members wouldn't allow him to play some gig we were rehearsing for..makes no sense because I too am a drummer..weird

Nobody has sung any Moz tunes on AI, tho I think someone mentioned him on that Singing Bee show.

On the main page, davidt posted “Morrissey in American Idol mentor poll” on January 10, 2008
