Thats How People Throw Up
I just thought I would voice this just cos I fancy doing so – sorry if this pisses people off, it’s not meant to.
I came upon Morrissey-solo as a bit of an accident - I was searching for Smiths DVD's on Google and a title link came up that looked promising. i clicked on it, and some strange brown and white forum looking page came up showing someone on here with a list of bootleg DVD's to trade, I wanted to reply so badly that I signed up in order to do so, hence the simple user name - dom - partly cos I was in a rush partly so I could remember it easily if I had to log on again. Now, 2 months later I am addicted to this site.
The beauty and fun of this forum is dazzling, but the madness never ceases to baffle me.
I know there are other links and search function options and the like to find out previously asked questions and answers, but does it really matter that much? Every day or so there are new members joining Moz-solo, all with their own uniqueness and support of Moz, all of whom have their own opinion and thoughts. A thread that has been answered a million times may seem pointless to be asked to someone who has been here since the early 00’s, but there will be equally many people who have only been here for a matter of months and wont know, so they will answer these questions.
Making a thread, no matter what the question, almost always conjures up new and different thoughts, even if it is the same subject as been discussed many times, because there are new people to answer and talk about the question.
And those who have been here for a while have been growing and experiencing different things in their time of being alive, so their opinions and experiences may change, and may have a different view on it from the last time. A thread started again doesn’t mean the SAME people have to say the SAME things.
But, if you insist that you don’t like the question being asked, that you simply CANT BELIEVE someone could be asking this question again, just DONT CLICK ON THE THREAD. Simple really.
Either way I won’t care any more or less about people who moan away at me, or at other newcomer innocents. I will do my best to accommodate the fair few hard core people who rip any thread to shreds if they see something wrong with it, and will try to please them to an extent, but luckily I don’t take life as seriously as they do. I can let a thread question that has been asked before pass over my head, in the same way that that my concern for how people act on here also passes over my head. I just thought I would throw this out there though, as I admit it makes my heart sink each time people act in this way.
What baffles me is the seriousness and often venom like comments people make on here, mostly over trivial and pointless things.
In my personal opinion:
Chill, relax, enjoy Moz, enjoy life, don’t take things so seriously. We are in a virtual forum, not a dictatorship.
Love and gladioli peace
