The attached was taken a while ago by a friend, showing the announcement of the cancellation by Ross and Walliams, Brand being out of the frame at this point (if this works!). Jonathan Ross mentioned on his show tonight that he hopes to have Morrissey with him next week for a song and chat. It doesn't look so good for the weekend though, but charming enterprising Camdem is worth a visit in itself for those who're already committed.
i think he is a bit of a trouper for going on with a voice like that
His opening line was actually "You don't realise what pop stars go through" or words to that effect.

I hope he gets better! That's such a shame on everyone!
Why don't you let your son take care of himself... seriously??I also paid good money - travelling from NY, but the fact of the matter is that Morrissey was having problems from the very first show and really soldiered through some very good shows this week. Why do you have to be so angry, narcissistic, and insensitive? These things happen... such is life, people get sick, it was so obviously not a "trick" - I was there paying full attention and it was clear that Morrissey was struggling for us at times, which is very generous of him and which gave us some great shows but is by no means expected - or even necessarily the intelligent thing to do if it goes too far. I am happy with what we got and anyway for the first 3 songs he was wearing a shirt that made him look particuarly handsom with a fantastic pair of jeans - so it was worth the waiting in line even...

As for the shit part being that he does not announce it himself - well given the pathetic and nearly nauseating response that the crowd reacted with - thank goodness Morrissey did not announce it himself!
Please don't give me any crap about your poor son. The shows we had were fantastic, we are in a spectacular city, Morrissey did a great job on the nights that he could - better than I expected when I realized he was ill the very first show... Thank you Morrissey - I hope he feels better and hell yeah I hope the shows go on and he miraculously recovers - but I do not expect it and I would rather see the guy take care of himself than abuse himself... good money spent or not.
It might seem like he cancels a lot but he also plays a lot of top quality shows. Part of the reason we love him is his vulerability and fragility - or at least I do - and that is bound to be reflected in the physical body when it is so apparent in the rest of a person - or so I have noticed in my observations in life.
London is amazing and some more shows would be fantastic - but come on!!! if your son can't figure out some way to enjoy a visit to this amazing city - he must not be very creative - and I wonder how he feels about his folks jumping on the internet to defend him?? how old is he? nine? ten?
Anyways thank you Morrissey and take care and feel better and I for one was amazed that you played as much as you did... thanks for that.

This is for mainly for the fans who acted completely inhuman after the gig was halted.
I just think it's disgusting how some of Morrissey's fans act sometimes. I can understand how annoyed you are sure. I mean, I have a ticket for Sunday, I'm annoyed too, but I understand he has a bad throat. There's nothing any of us can do about that, if Sunday's off, then that's just how it is. I will be sad of course, but I'm not going to act like a complete moron over it.
I was there on Monday and he said he was struggling with his voice. The gig was amazing, I was slightly worried he might not hold up until Sunday. Now it seems it wont happen, and thats just how it goes my friends. I'm not going to bitch, threaten to boycott or throw things at Russell Brand.
I'm disappointed, but not acting moronic.
This is my two cents on the reactions of some of the fans. Flame away!
so basically, you could tell he was very ill or whatever but i think the way the crowd reacted to Brand/Walliams/Ross was disgusting. They were only trying to help and it took MASSIVE balls to do that.
Morrissey has made a shit night for me that bit worse.
Whatever Happens, I Love You
i think there is a time and a place for three celebs and after seeing the footage i dont think it was there
i agree it took balls but to be honest i think they could have done something else ...
Trouble is I think some fans are so obsessive they don't think of Morrissey as a real person. They seem to see him as someone who should always meet their expectations and desires. Only a blow up doll can do that, not a real human being. I find it frightening some of the fury that's expressed and I'm surprised they aren't frightened by the force of their feelings themselves.
The most sad I've ever felt after a gig.
I feel sorry for Moz, he would never have wanted it this way.
However, what really fouled my night were the two morons from London in front of me.
They were livid when Ross, Walliams and Brand came on stage to cancel the gig, and expressed their dissatisfaction by throwing coins at the stage, almost all of which hit the audience ahead of them.
Feeling a proportional sense of civic outrage at this, I confronted them on my own (unwise, as they were bigger than me). They screamed that they paid £300 for tonight's show, and angrily accused me of being some sort of anti-working class snob who got in for free. And basically tried to beat me up (but for the fact I ran away before I got too many bruises).
But least they ceased their assault on Morrissey fans (if anyone here got hit on the head, I'm sorry I didn't get to them sooner!).
Someone on here would have sold them the tickets for face value if they even tried.
Morrissey didn't ruin my night - two young men did, who I can only describe as the lowest of the low, the creme de la scum of the earth.
Viva Moz!
Let's take a pragmatic view of this. Moz's voice was rough and he was clearly having difficulty hitting the high notes. I didn't notice any radical loss of performance, he was clearly trying his absolute best. The show was, voice aside, better than the first night I thought for what of it there was. Where I was there was some disappointment, but an understaning that aborting the show was the right thing to do as he was clearly very unwell. Russell Brand, Ross, and Walliams appearance was clearly somewhat impromptu. I do wish Moz himself had said that he could no longer perform.
What was interesting was his very short speech before the final song. "Steroids? Cortiszone? Spray? USELESS."
Nonetheless, the upside is that the shows WILL be rescheduled, there will be an announcement of new rescheduled dates on Monday, if you were there tonight keep hold of your ticket and you will see him again. The way I see it is this way we get two nights with Moz instead of one. This is the first time in 20 years and about 700 shows of gig going I have I've seen a show get pulled part way through, so give him the benefit of the doubt. he was very clearly in poor health and struggling to provide a performance.
On wednesday night his voice was struggling during the first couple of songs i thought, then it progressed over the course of the night getting better and better. I thought with a days rest he might be alright but it wasn't to be. He just couldn't get the words out on Boy Happy, well, apart from the "in ten minutes i will be dead" line, haha. I knew that was the end of the gig when he said that. Maybe seeing him 6 times in a week was a bit greedy afterall! Hopefully it will be rescheduled like they said.
They talk about death as you talk about a fruit
They look at the sea as you look at a well
I don't think anyone has said this already but I think it's good that he tried to get through, in the end it proved too much, but it must have taken a lot to get out there and attempt to do it.
I got sick-- SO WHAT??? I neeed to eat meat.....Julia how did I sound dear??
