Vegan in Lille?

I'm going to the concert in Lille. I'll be there from Friday till Sunday. Are there any vegan restaurants in the city-center? Or vegan options in regular restaurants?

I've read somewhere that Lille is a hell for vegetarians, and that vegans just shouldn't go there. So, all suggestions are welcome.

As a veggie who has visited France it is quite difficult beyond pizza and cheese sandwiches to eat anything meat free so I expect vegan to be even more difficult.

My friend lives and works in France and told me this joke that rather sums up the French nations attitude to veggies / vegans (and NOT my attitude before someone thinks otherwise).

'Two gay men moved from England to rural France and after a few days decided to go to the local bar to meet a few locals and make themselves known.
In the bar, they asked the manager for the menu and got talking to him. They eventually asked the manager if he thought local people would have a problem with two gay men living in the village. They were pleasantly surprised with his reaction that it would not be an issue amongst local people.
Pleased with this, they looked at the menu and then one of them asked the manager if there was a vegetarian option on the menu.
'For fucks sake', the manager whispered to the pair, 'dont tell anyone your a vegetarian!'

I was in Germany last year at a football game at Werder Bremen, in the press lounge. It was all frankfurters and salami. I asked a few German journalists if there was anything without meat. One asked loudly if I was a vegetarian, when i said I was, he told everyone even louder in German that I was a veggie and half the room pissed themselves laughing at me I ended up with a plate full of watery mashed potatoe and bread.

Try:

La Source, Ru du plat.
Organic shop and restaurant. May have a tofu main course!
From the train station Gare Lille Flandres (the old station) which is across the road from the aeronef. Take the exit next to McDonalds, cross the road, turn right into rue du molinel. Rue du plat is 4th on left.

Flunch
Mainstream cafeteria style place, get a tray, pick up starter, drink etc go to till, ask for an "assiette de legumes". You can then get "all you can eat" potatoes, (watch the chips though could be fried in beef fat), rice, and veg.
Take the exit as above, look to your left you should see the sign for flunch

Pizza Pai
Have a salad bar, again ask for "assiette de legumes".
Exit as above, 6th right (opp Rue du plat) 2nd left.

I just typed "vegatalien" (french for vegan) into the search box here:

and it listed 2 restaurants I've never heard of and can't recommend, not
that I really recommend Flunch or Pizza Pai.

I'm pretty sure there's a "Soup bar" in the "Vieux Lille" area (5 minutes from Aeronef, but I might be wrong...
