Im having a 'daytime' NYE....taking the kids to my mums and then bf & I will go see a film (we are thinking The Darjeeling Limited) & then maybe a quick bite to eat - pick up the kids & then back home. Maybe some champage to toast with once the kids are in bed.

I'm going to this concert/party but, I am not anticipating it b/c I don't like the music & the area the venue is in, has a lot of snobby people. It is kind of upper class & the people are always looking their noses up & down at people. You can almost feel their eyes swim up & down your body, judging you. I am not from an upper crust background either (very working class) so, I don't ever quite fit-in w/ the elite. I see people who go to NYC clubs all of the time & I don't fit-in w/ them either due to the fact that I don't fit-in w/ that class. Ces la vie...

The only reason I decided to go b/c I didn't want to be home wallowing about being single AGAIN on NYE (the WORST holiday to be single, btw).

I was though, offered to work OT that night, I haven't decided yet though. (I work for the fuzz so, I have constant offers to work) I mean, it IS extra $ & then, I won't be miserable at that party/concert anyway & can sell my ticket for $ too!

So...decisions to make by the end of today to report to the Capt. We'll see...

I hope all of you though, have a total BLAST on whatever you decide to do!

I HATE NEW YEAR, I find it so depressing. It is a signal that we have yet another year to slog through and it brings with it the message that Christmas is over and work and school is back on soon

I shall probably just go to my mates and have some drinks and watch some film. I won't be getting too drunk as I always go on a nice walk near to where I live on New Years Day

    Love PTxx.

I think I'm going to a small gathering at a friends, hubby is back tomorrow, so we'll be together. I'm sure I'll end up sobbing at some point in the evening, but I shall try not to!

actually I think she already did. didn't she said CHRISTMAS was the worst holiday to be alone? I might be wrong, but I honestly don't care enough to go back and check.
