    Default This board is TRAGIC!

80% of the crap I read on here makes me sick. All of David T's hard work and this is the respect you awful people show him. You should all be ashamed of yourselves. Of course, none of you nasty people will feel any remorse. With heads as empty as yours it would be damn near impossible to understand anything other than hatred.

I guess after being shunned by your friends and neighbors you've no one left to abuse so you turn to this forum.

Half of you paint yourselves as intellectuals. What a joke!! All I can do is laugh and thank god I don't know any of you in real life. Pitiful, the lot of you!

Not all of us hate the board and use it as a personal dumping zone.

Some of us here (the majority are lurking) enjoy talking with other Moz fans and appreciate that we have a forum where we can do that. (Think back to the days where you thought you were the only smiths fan in the world, becuase you were the only one in your area...well I was)

Hmm, if only Morrissey would at least start recording music, it would give us something more thing to talk about.

Spot on mate, I had high hopes when I first came accross this message board, but they were soon dashed. I hardley ever write on here anymore. I gotta say though the guy who runs this site David T, deserves maximum respect, he's done/doing a great job. In general, apart from some of the wasters who write on the message board, this site is one of the best I have seen that is devoted to a particular artist.

Don't blame Morrissey for the condition of this board!

That was one well thought out response. Way to go! You help solidify my point.

Socializing with such low life is exhausting enough in person, let alone a message board.

To the good people out there, have faith. Maybe one day this board will return to a higher standard.

Speak for yourself. Having a bad day?

This is a discussion board. Unfortunately, this discussion happens about once every two weeks. What I really don't like is when poeple come out with insults, like yours.

Thank you for your contribution. Anything further?
(Why don't you do a search Blacklist. This topic is played out, IMO.)

    Default Not completely.

When you have an open forum where the only prerequisites needed to participate are having a pulse and a computer with internet access, it only makes sense that you'd have a varied type of people speaking their minds as they see fit. There are a few that intentionally attempt to get under the skin, so as long as you understand that it's simpler to not let it aggravate you. Sometimes it gets difficult, but there are plenty of good people around who post polite and informed messages. You just have to be willing to sift.

If you can be open minded and non-judgmental, this message board is great. But if you're overwhelmingly bothered by the loudest few, then yeah, you might want to spend more time in areas where there is less interaction, because no matter what, you're always going to have those loud ones in a totally public and open place.

Bertrand created a really great message thread that turned out to be, in my opinion, an (unintentional) apologia of sorts for this board. Search "Bertrand," and click his message "Other websites" (Sunday, 22 July 2001, at 11:49 p.m.). The best message is Bertrand's response to Librarian on Fire, five messages down the thread. I think he establishes a cogent argument for the sometimes ugliness of this message board.

I think this message board (like everything) is both good and bad, but more good than bad. When you write off the messages from the people you don't care for, things look much brighter. You just have to put things in perspective.

    Cheers,
    Cili

I'm not 'blaming' anyone for anything. You're being just a bit too paranoid on old mozzers behalf.

I'm stating (once more) that if he had put something out, perhaps we would have more to discuss amongst ourselves. Nothing more, nothing less.

The judges'marks are in. 9/10 for his hair, there's a bit of a brycream slick going on there at the back. 10/10 for the sideburns, mine never look like that. No fine upright chin showing there so no marks in that round. Use of icons, 8/10, we've noticed the irony of a NME cover star appearing on the NME. Accessories, mmm, never liked that ring that much. Shirt, a very stylish little number. Shades of rockabilly in it with the '50's style checks. Your effort of posting this, a commendable 10/10.

    Default Morrissey on the potty.

    *laughing*

I know I've seen that photo of Morrissey before, but after I clicked on your message it suddenly occurred to me that he looks like he'd just been surprised while sitting on the toilet.

I posted the picture down below so people wouldn't have to click back and forth.
