Has any stage invaders ever been arrested?

I got my hug, was hauled away under the armpits, and dropped back into the crowd right where I came from. Good thing, too, because I lost my shoe on the way up so I was able to get it back!

I have been on stage twice. Got to Moz once and got grabbed before I could once.

Both times I was gently escorted off the side of the stage and released back into the crowd.

others have not been treated so leniently you know

this is true....

or usually depends on venue. usually from my experiences they just put you back into the crowd.
i would say, try and wait towards the end of the show that way just in case they are kicking people out, you didnt miss the whole show. also just in case moz gets hurt or annoyed, YOU dont ruin the whole show.

moz did not get hurt by my stage invading but i woke up with a 12 inch by 6 inch black and purple bruise from jumping onto the stage...ouch, so do it with care for him and yourself!!!

However, I have read accounts of some people who have been taken outside and given a beating and kicking by the security...depends on venue, atmosphere and staff. Hopefully if they are rough boys with me Moz shall defend me as I am only a young whipper snapper!!

If you plan to attempt it, you'd better try at the end of the gig which prevents ruining Morrissey's concentration and the security seems not too tough.

I spoke with the guy that was doing security during the 1999 and 2002 tours... he said that they have certain rules for which songs it's allowed and which ones it isn't. For exmple, when Morrissey would lay down on the stage during Meat Is Murder, no one was allowed up.

He also said that he would try to work with house security to give them a nod or a head shake to say if a certain person should be let up at that time. Of course, there are a lot of egos and often times house security would not care what Moz's security said. They went with their own rules.

I'm assuming he's using the same guys as he has for the past few tours. I don't know how their rules might differ but I found them to be very friendly. Of course, I got up, I gave Morrissey a hug and then I made a dash to the side of the stage so they might have been nicer to me since I didn't disrupt the show, I didn't put a up a fight, I didn't cling and I went peacefully to the exit before they even got to me.

I got past them. It was Morrissey's people that dealt with me.
