Not sure if this has been posted already but The Onion (satirical newspaper/web site) AV Club has just published a list of songs that should never be covered again.
# 1 on the list: How Soon Is Now

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.
"few things are worse than someone trying to be Morrissey."
True dat... double true!

Thanks Frankie!
"I hope that the security don't ruin your night too much but I'm sure that they'll do their best...Never mind-- THEY'RE OUTNUMBERED."
Interviewer: Did you hear Tatu's version of 'How Soon Is Now'?
Morrissey: Yes, it was magnificent. Absolutely. Again, I don't know much about them.
Interviewer: They're the teenage Russian lesbians.
Morrissey: Well, aren't we all?

Is this the same AVClub that involves/involved Bucky Fukumoto, who directed Moz videos?
Peter
It appears NOT.
AV Club is largely Bucky's film company. The Onion's AV Club is a website off-shoot of its satirical publication. I bet if you search The Onion's AV Club site, you won't find any articles written by Bucky Fukumoto.
Not that Fukumoto isn't good at his work, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that Moz chose Bucky to shoot a lot of his projects simply because Moz enjoys butchering a name to make it sound obscene. To wit, note how Morrissey mispronounces the Japanese city "Fukuoka" during the interview for the 2002 Summersonic broadcast.
