"What ever happened to Britpop?"
"The Brit Box" evokes an era of pale, sensitive, eyelinered boys -- and the Anglophiles who loved them.

Interesting overview of British indie music (1984-1999) and America...blends into Morrissey and current controversy. Promoting CD set "The Brit Box: U.K. Indie, Shoegaze, and Brit-Pop Gems of the Last Millennium" (Rhino).

^^^Thanks for the link. It's always fun to read a good appreciation for The Smiths and our Moz.
Nearly every culture and music magazine reviews/discusses this compilation this month and it's such a thrill to see The Smiths featured 20 years later.

The Brit Box: Simon Reynolds piece with Moz mention & piccy

I don't know if there's already been mention of this, but I stumbled upon this interesting article by the venerable Simon Reynolds.

I found it while looking for something on David Lynch's Mulholland Drive.
