    Five girls! I have 3; one soon to be 12, a 2 and a <1.

The 2 year old acts more hormonal that the 12 sometimes. She will, when she gets in a huff, cross her arms, put on "the face" and stomp around and then sit down arms still crossed with the, "you do not exist look" on her face.

My little girl (who is 8 and a half) is off on her first SLEEPOVER tonight!

It only seems like yesterday she was clinging onto my apron strings...and now THIS!

They are having a girly pamper evening of manicures...face packs....temporary tattoos...make-up etc etc...

Where did all the time go?

I'm stuck in with the boys tonight...a Starwars dvd and pizza!...I'm not used to being out-numbered!

    Aw! Can I go too?!!

I hope she has a fun sleepover and you don't get any late night phone calls. My daughter's first sleepover when she was 6 at a friends (just the two girls), I got a phone call at 11:30 with her crying to come pick her up. If it hadn't been for my husband and mother telling me to be strong (and not to go get her) I would have been there in a flash. Instead I cried about it (after I hungup) the fact that she wanted her Mommy and that I didn't go to her and also that my baby was growing up

Have fun with the boys tonight. A little change of pace will be good for everyone

It does sound like fun doesn't it?!...maybe I'll give myself a little pamper too tonight...whilst the boys are watching Starwars!

Rachel packed up her little suitcase on wheels at 9am this morning and has been wheeling it around the house with her all day...where she goes the suitcase goes too!...she's watching Scooby-Doo now sitting on the sofa with her little feet resting on it! She's not going till 4pm...if she asks me one more time how long it is till she goes I shall surely scream!

    She's so excited -how cute.

My daughter just asked -again- when are we going to American Girl Place (http://www.americangirl.com/stores/location_chi.php). I'm taking the kids today (no school) for their birthday pressies.

I better stop by the bank and take out a loan

No shit! That place is very neat, but pure evil. I read a few years ago that the average purchase amount there is several hundred dollars.

Thankfully, we no longer live within 10 miles of one.

Well, I've managed to avoid it for this long... I've been in there twice before, to pick up an order for a friend and to get a gift for a friend's child. I barely got out of there alive.

A friend bought my daughter a Bitty Baby which she eventually handed down to her sister. I think she wants a DOLL now. $$$$ I'm hoping I can at least talk my younger one into something cheaper. Like a pair of socks

    Speaking of socks!....

My husband took the children into town last weekend...they had a £1 each to spend from their piggy banks. Dan came home with a little Matchbox car...my little girl came home with a pair of socks! They weren't even for her...they were for me...and said "Worlds Greatest Mummy" on them!...I don't mind telling you I had a lump in my throat when I opened them!

I don't think their cafe serves, Coz, but try Kamehachi down around the corner 240 E. Ontario (look down, it's ground floor -1.) Really yummy sushi (veg sushi too) and Sapporo... or, take them to tea at the Four Seasons! In 900 N. Mich/Bloomingdale's Mall/120 E Delaware. Ask for a window seat. But call ahead. 312-280-8800.

Have a fun day, it's nice out right now at least!

I know Maybe I'll get some sushi. Now that you've mentioned it, I'm craving it I has to haves it once a month

Yeay for -finally- a sunny day. I've been a little nervous about my basement with all the rain we've had.
