how to add pics and videos into my profile/add silent videos in a thread

i wonder how that works- when i go to d edit profile there is no form where i can add pics/ videos in my profile so how does it work?

also another questions how to add a video in a thread like in the frink thread wheres some post videos which are silent and only a few second long .. but who dont appear below the wriiten word as a constant extra but as a video one time posted in the thread like here

Images are embedded by pasting in the link inside [IMG] tags. Just like how you embed URLs by putting them in [URL] tags.

YouTube videos are embedded by pasting the video's ID (the part of the URL after the "v=") inside [youtube] tags.

Example: for the video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xEzGIuY7kw, the ID is -xEzGIuY7kw.

I think the pics in the sigs are animated GIFS. You'll need a specialist bit of software to convert video to animated GIFS, although I'm not sure what. I used to know, but now I just get my brother to help.

I haven't created an animated gif for years, but I just looked it up & found a Web site that purports to do it for you. Gif it a try and let us know how it works.

Buy whatever software you want, but that Web site that I linked to will do it for free.
