Shoplifters plastic bag & Panic stickers

If anyone has the absoloute genuine plastic bag that came with the Shoplifters 12" could they please help with a nagging worry that I have.

I already have a genuine bag that came with the vinyl, its a bit brown round the edges and a bit creased but I love it for its age

However, I just recently bought one from Ebay and its absoloutely pristine, no creases, no marks......just pristine. I personally do not believe its a genuine article. I have compared it to my 'real' one and my real one has a 1" ish black line on the Elvis picture side in the top left hand corner. My newest purchase has the black line which is a tiny bit longer but on the right hand side. On the new one the sides of the bag dont end together with the 'Elvis' one slightly longer than the 'shoplifter' sided one. The genuine one has exact length sides.

I looked up this seller and she has sold three of these 'absoloutely genuine' bags. That makes him/her pretty lucky to have had three of them in his/her loft for nearly 20 years and them to maintain their condition.

Those of you with genuine bags , could you have a quick shufty and tell us where your black line is on the bag please

I've got two, had them for a while, but not since they were released.
Both are different: one 1" taller than the other, the shorter one is sligthly thicker plastic and the printing is slightly better quality.

The two sides are different lengths - on the short thick one it's only a few mm difference on the larger thiner one it's more like 1cm - on both, Elvis is longer than shoplifter.

I'm no expert, but let's face it - it's a plastic bag; plastic bag factories probably don't have the best quality standards and I bet the prints were just printed on whatever white plastic bags they had in stock.

I'd say that mine are both genuine - and so are yours

Just to add to what Dave06 says, they will be real, it is hardly suprising that there are slight differences, I doubt they would have had to pass much inspection being a throw away freebie item, I know they are not throw away to us but the printers involved wouldn't have known that, so as long as the image looked ok & the printing on the reverse I doubt they cared as to them all being identical in every way.

There's a guy who sets up a stall in the edinburgh meadows every now & then who sells these bags. he tried to get me to buy one once for £25. i opted to spend my money on a 12'' rank album and a replacement meat is murder 12'' for my bedroom wall

dudes, ive been thinking about what black eyed posted last friday, on this link, until today, torn about having bought the second, of said three bags from the person selling these shoplifters bags on ebay wondering if this was a fake or real

i missed the chance 10 years ago buying this from a friend that i made that i got connected to from solo. the guy was asst. manager of, THE RECORD COLLECTOR store" (shit, now i have to look up the store name which was on 5th street in san diego}. he had a lot of cool shit being a fan so i got other records from him that were rarer knowing id stumble onto this bag another time

well ive never seen a rush on these and i guess ill just have to watch to see if a multitude of these come out, then ill know if this is s fake. either way ill keep the faith and hope this is the real one.
