Things are worth what people are willing to pay. For some reason this was very important to a few people that felt that they had to have it. I purposely overpayed for something on eBay making sure that I outbid anyone else as it was something very specific from my childhood that meant a great deal to me. I remember overpaying $100-200 over the value. No regrets as it has never appeared again on eBay.
