After the screening of 60s swinging London film Smashing Time (screening starts 6:15pm), legendary Rita Tushingham will be interviewed on stage.

It's last minute additon to NFT, I'm lucky to get a front row seat!

If you're in London come and join us!

You can book tickets from http://www.bfi.or.uk or ring 020 7928 3232. :)

I made the mistake of browsing through the upcoming events and films...now I want to go see everything :) They are showing My beautiful Launderette and Brass Eye and Jam :)

I really wanted to go to this, but I can't :(

Just got back from NFT.
The film is really good and enjoyed very much.
Rita and Murray Melvin who played Geoff in A Taste of Honey were briefly reunited in this film.
It's a forgotten little gem and love to have a copy of the soundtrack which features Rita and Lynn Redgrave's singing.
At the Q&A Rita said someone did cover version of one of the songs, but I couldn't catch the name and forgot to ask later.
It was very lovely to see super 8 footages of the filming at the end.

Rita is smaller than I thought and very friendly.
One of the hosts asked her if she knew Morrissey quoted a lot from A Taste of Honey.
She said no, hadn't met Morrissey and would love to.
