    Default Morrisseys address!!!!

I CAN see the point of people not spreading Morrisseys address all over the net especially as there are some many nutters in the USA BUT i must say when Morrissey moves back to england or ireland one day (and i am sure he will) i will take GREAT pleasure in keeping it a secret from AMERICAN morrissey fans who seem to think that its there little secret and right to hang round his house most likely making dicks of themselves BUT dont want anyone else getting the chance to write a letter or send a gift.

I have always been as helpful as i can if people have been visiting the UK about smiths-morrissey related places that might be of help when people outside the UK have asked any questions.

I have asked people as i know a few other people have!! and come across a great wall of silence.I know where it is but not the write address some so called fans i actually tried for info tried to pass of the wrong address for a laugh.I suppose its a sign of the times and shows some of the wanker fans there is about.

It was never like this in the good old days.

well, some nutter of an English fan wrote me once in and around the year 1996 with Morrissey's mother's address. This guy said he lived in the neighborhood and from what i gathered, it made it a habit of liking to stand around in front of her house.

i didn't ask for it. I can't even remember what i WAS asking for, but either way, I didn't use it coz I didn't believe that my status of fan didn't warrant abuse of info. You know. It's one of those sources that you feel dirty for using.

And no, I no longer have it as it was stored on a disc with old old macintosh and Eurdora information, and even though i own the disc, i don't own a mac.

Ah, but it's not the SAME THING as those are usually public landmarks!

waah waah waah. people hint they have information but act all high and mighty about it's usage. as always. what do you expect? it's a collection of greediness that would die if they could have moz all to themselves. Why do you think Wendy Wu got the nastiness she did? "you are no better than us, but why are you so special in being allowed to hang out with him and we aren't!?!?"

It may be work related. Who knows? but just like any of you, you befriend people for reasons that have some sort of logic.

I have heard on several occasions that people seem to be a bit more respectful about his addresses in the UK and Ireland. I don't know if it is something in the water that makes people a bit less obnoxious about the knowledge and what they do with it, but it seems that we in America want everyone who is famous to know ABSOLUTELY how HAPPY we are that they are famous and we want to show them in the most bizarre ways! Such as standing outside looking at your window, or sitting down on the corner for days just to see you come and go, or climbing over the gate to run up to the door at 3 a.m. and pound on it as if it were there JUST for that purpose!

I know you get weirdos every where but i am one of those people that think all Morrissey fans are special and by and large decent people.

If i had his USA address i would not post it on message boards and the like BUT if someone asked for it and i didnt deem them to be someone that would do something stupid that lets face it 99% of morrissey fans arnt then i would give it to them.

Me personally had quite a few addresses for morrissey over the years but never did actually ever write to him or send him anything BUT when people ever asked me years ago i told people and some of them still get the odd weird postcard i assume to this day.I also knew a lad who up until 1995 (i lost touch with him) he was getting the odd postcard from morrissey after he handed Morrissey a postcard at a gig in leicester in 1991.

So thats why i first came onto the net about 18 months ago i was shocked with the abuse between morrissey fans and abuse i recieved so much that I MUST HOLD MY HANDS up i caved in and gave as good as i got.

Then one day i though it would be nice to send morrissey a gift (he must be the other pop star that wears or uses decent gifts he gets)or a letter and came up agasint this NO @#!!! YOU you have no rite to write or send gifts to morrissey BUT its ok for SOME (not all i must add) to pretend to be plastic rockabillys (sorry for the people who are into rockabilly music or 50s culture no affence meant) and hang round the fellas house.

I understand your views and know where your coming from on a lot of points made.

    Good day to you

It is not about having information to make yourself seem superior, it is about knowing your boundaries! I have loved Morrissey for as long and as deeply as any other fan, but I know when it is adoration and when it is obsession. It is one thing to be able to approach someone famous in a public arena, and other to stalk. I would not want my address given out to people, even if they are harmless.

It is a respect issue...bottom line. There are ways to make public your feelings for the man, but why go to his house, the one place of solitude from the world...

Again i agree with some of the points your are making. But of all stars today with i would imagine has obessive fans Morrissey would be one and i think that is because Morrissey was and still is a music fan and did go to some great lenghts to see some of his hero's and was know to be a pest in his younger years Bless him 80)

I dont agree with people hanging round his house,if people walk by and drop stuff off thats fair enough YOU have to expect it though if you have a massive desire to be famous and you work hard to get there.Weirdos go with hand in hand with the whole thing of being famous.

Morrissey has always been aware of his following and i imagine understands more than any other pop star what is fans are all about and i do believe he does genuially care.Even if there is no real news or anything to luck forward to of late.Have no fear it has always been like this and no doubt there will be records tours and loads of great days and nights in the future.

My main grip is in England is was common knowledge where morrissey lived people left him alone if people wanted to write letters that was ok,there was times fans would hang round BUT as i posted before if you wanted his address people would not have told you to @#!!! OFF!!
I never bothered going or writing so that is why i though it would be nice.

There used to be a time before all this net lark when morrissey fans did not bitch with each other and take the piss.We were a breed apart and helped each other when ever possible.

    Good night to you all!!

I was shown his house and was later disgusted to hear how fast the word travelled and "fans" were raiding his mailbox to take such ridiculous items such as phone bills, etc...

I have since heard that he has SMARTLY moved his mailbox INSIDE the gate but unfortunately that hasn't stopped the freaks from camping outside his house at all hours of the night...

It may sound "high and mighty" - but if you MUST share it- make sure it's someone you can trust...

Default See? Jessica Fletcher did have a point.

I really can see no reason for the constant torment people endure in trying to find his address. I also fail to understand the unrelenting mob who bicker like old women in a quilting bee over this issue.

Let me suggest this, Morrissey's address is on the web. That's right folks, I spout no untruth. I have found it so I know it exists. The internet super highway is a wild, wonderful place with endless possibilities and if you put your thinking caps on, think laterally you are bound to find it. I will say this, please don't insult me or yourselves by going to the first available search engine and typing "Morrissey" "address", you will not find it. Maybe watch a few Murder She Wrote episodes first... And I suppose the old adage is right, if you want something dearly enough you are bound to get it. (I don't really beleive that but is sounds good, doesn't it?)

    It elementary my dear Watson...

Funnily enough I've been doing some research myself into Morrissey's US address this week. I have an old 12" LP which I think Morrissey might like, but unfortuantly all I have is his English address (Beech Mount). I would just send it to said address but I don't think his mother would, quite understandly, undertake the task of forwarding the record to him. I've read posts before which stated that he lived in Tara Drive, Encino, CA. Is this correct and if I only used this information do you think the US postal system would still deliver it?

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

    Thanks,

    J (j@wits.fsbusiness.co.uk)

You know what I think is so disappointing is that the people who HAVE the address and are 'normal' about it (by that I mean they don't wait outside for him, or jump his fence calling for him pounding on his door, they don't take his mail, necessitating a locked mailbox behind the gate, etc, etc.) HAVE to be protective about the info for several reasons. One of those reasons is because you just plain old DON'T know who you can trust with it! I think that is the worst part. I feel terribly when I see all these plea's from people who seem absolutely genuine, but because of ONE fuc.kin' sicko who chose to abuse what was given to them, it has stopped any further release from me.

I DO however offer to send stuff on for anyone. No big deal here. I hate to be that way, again, but it is ALWAYS what I will do as long as I have the ability to do so.

I was talking to J, and asked a simple question. No, you are right I am NOT Morrissey's personal friend, nor his assistant. I don't have time to be an assistant, but I would welcome him anytime he felt the need to chat with me. Whether or not he has is my business, and I don't see why you thought saying such a rude comment would do anything to me, except make me see clearly how stupid some of the people who come to this board are. Over the past year that I have been coming here- or maybe a year and a half- I have seen many of you do the exact same thing- say something that is rude, short and not making much sense. You have NO IDEA who I am nor who I know. That will remain my private business, no matter HOW ridiculous some of you get. The people who see me for who I am, and that is only a few who take the time to do so, are the ones who benefit in some small way or another. NOT your types who like to try to make me feel stupid- 'twon't work, so give it up.

I too have had the pleasure of meeting VERY interesting people, through all of the ones that aren't. I value them as much as they value me, and wish those of you who think you know who I am, or are just guessing, would leave it alone. Just because I come to a message board doesn't mean I have a pretention of being someone unimportant- and just because I may say something to another (such as asking them to email me so we can have a bit of a discussion away from the board) doesn't mean that is an invitation for someone who is having a bad day to take it out on me.
