REYKJAVIK is out of this world!!! get there ASAP!!!
I have never been to sweden But all i can say is i have been to most of the best cities in europe and the states and its amazing in Iceland.
The sites there (glasiers and geysers) are amazing there is nothing like it on earth.AND the nitelife is the best i have ever seen.The people there are all into pretty decent music (indie) and are very well dressed and its one of the weirdest citys i have ever been to.
Its a fact that 80% of icelandics believe in pixies and will sit straight faced talking about pixies and how not to upset fairys.
The women are lovely either very good looking blondes or black hair pale faced with lovely brown eyes and are very nice and chatty and THEY do not look like borg at all i think she comes from some really weird tribe of anicent people something like the abbos in australia.I cant remember what people they are.
Its not cheap for a beer but the people are so very very nice and helpfull and they get so pissed its untrue EVEN more than the irish!! its common place for the pubs to be empty at 9pm BUT at 11pm the party is well on its way and does not stop till 10AM
Think of vikings and a raucous riot of a nite and thats the icelandics on the piss.
Its a very safe city and they love british and irish tourists but they have a massive problem with americans because there is a american base there and there forces are not allowed into reykjavik.
I have been on the lash in milan,rome,munich,prague,paris,amsterdam,dublin,edingburgh,madrid,barcalona,galway,belfast,new york,boston,cancun(mexico) and a few other places i cant think of at the moe and Reykjavik head and shoulders above them as a great place for a group of single lads to have a wicked weekend.
Do a search on iceland on yahoo and see some of the sites there!!!they have to be seen to be believed.
As a group of lads we always go away for a laugh to get pissed for a few days we have all got bored of the 18-30s trips to spain and greece so every few months we book somewhere different AND we have a rule of never going to the same place twice.
I was going to go to moscow or helsinki for my birthday but everyone said we gotta go back to iceland.
