It's never been as funny as the first one. As they say themselves - not as funny as it used to be. It used to be 20p (30p for students!).

My work colleagues bought me a subscription this yer for my birthday (I work in a charity where most people are fairly right-on, so it was a surprise). My partner hates it. I love it. I love the fact that she hates it.

This month's edition (which arrived yesterday) has a free gift for every reader - a Lady DiPod - depressing MP3 player.

One of the funniest letters I remember from years ago, was around the time of the food terrorist malarkies.

The letter went something like this.

Dear Viz,

What with ground glass in baby food & rat poison in chocolate bars, what is the world coming too?
Only this morning whilst enjoying my bowl of cornflakes I nearly choked to death on a small green plastic dinosaur, what will these terrorists think of next?

It wasn't me that sent it in but I surely wish I had!
