I asked the same thing a few months ago and I really didn't get a reply. However, someone was kind enough to point out that during a video or something like that, a guy was holding a sign with that phrase on it. I know this info doesn't really help.

So if someone out there knows where the phrase comes from there are people who would appreciate any info.

I don't know where precisely it comes from, but from the looks of it, it seems rather a "mission statement", no?

I always took it as a rhethorical answer in the way that it doesn't really require the question, you know?..... It's one of these things you understand initially without really being able to explain why....

I think its simply an assertion of intent.. We do it.. "Because we must".. maybe hinting at some 'brain washing' type sitaution would be releavnt to NF culture.. I certainly do NOT think its an NF slogan though...

Don't think it is NF related at all. I somewhat remember there being a similar quote/phrase that was along these lines. It was something like (not even close to being a direct quote) some people do good things because they can and others are compelled to do great things. It cannot be helped. They do what they do "because they must" and have no choice. It can be looked upon as a gift but also a curse.
