Sorry, "true to you" would've been a bit more obvious, I guess. It looks very nice though with the swallow and the stars.

Has anyone here had his signature tattooed on and then embellished it later on to give it oomph? I'd like to turn his signature on my arm into a whole sleeve of muted images so that the signature stands out, but I'm having trouble coming up with something that's both attractive and unique. Any ideas or photos?

Seeing as the thread has been bumped thought I may as well post mine - not fully healed and started scabbing up now... makes me want to rip my skin off grr.. Not the best of photos and I apologise for the amount of skin on show... The phrase itself has lots of personal meanings to me that I will sound too soppy for if I explain so will just leave you with a photo... Please be (gentle and) kind?

That is a very nice tattoo. And I love it when the tattoo has a lot of personal meaning.

I've thought about this too, but maybe not a full sleeve. I know what you mean because you dont want the signature to get lost... When I was in the tattooist having my autograph made permanent, there was a girl who worked there having roses tattooed inside her armpits That's got to hurt! But, I really liked what she had on her arms. She had mostly flowers and stuff but what was unusual and really striking was there was no black ink at all in her sleeves. It was all pink, green, orange etc. I wish I had a picture - I haven't seen anyone else with sleeves like that. Then your signature would still really stand out if it was the only black ink) Also I like the sleeves that someone had done of loads of Smiths covers but I cant find the pic. It had the Rank cover and I think Queen is Dead and Candy Darling, looked really stunning.

YES! That's exactly what I'm after. It's just that the prettiest Morrissey imagery would probably be daffodils or gladioli and that's so ancient. Hrm. Of course, if I can meet up with Johnny Marr again I would like him to sign me too, then I can make it a Smiths sleeve! But then there's the question of where he should sign, over or under Moz? D:

Well, you know, I'd always said that I'd never get a tattoo unless Morrissey signed me... And he DID. I really didn't think he ever would. It seemed like an impossibility.

Honestly though, I'd been considering having my daughter sign me at some point. I'd still like her to do it. She's just learned cursive so it should be very cute.

See, that's how I did it with Morrissey. I let him choose where to put it. I know Johnny would ask where I wanted it to go. Then we'd have to TALK about it. I'd probably ask him where HE thinks it would look nice.

Oh, now I'm all excited thinking about meeting Johnny again! *sigh*
