Perhaps we need a new top-level forum to control the proliferation of tour date ticketing/head count information. Each show date could have a sticky thread.

This could work. There actually was a Tour specific forum along with the General Discussion forum briefly before the switch to the vBulletin software. It worked OK during the tour but of course was dead when no tour was going on. Since then, the main page has a post-show article that comes up with each show and the main discussion of the show is covered there. There is not a good place to talk about pre-show, except for the forums.
My hesitation is that with the recent announcement, this could be the last tour for a while so the forum would only be active for a few months. I could always deactivate it later. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add that soon and ask the mods to help move existing threads into it.
For sticky threads, the general policy is to minimize those also, otherwise it makes things hard to follow.
