    The only 'K' song...that's true!

Despite it being my Moz-solo nickname for about a decade, it's really only a "cute" song at best.

Has anybody ever figured out who it's about (I somehow doubt that giving someone a "homeless chihuahua" came from imagination alone)?

It's just fluff really. Fluff with really, really bad lyrics. It is mildly enjoyable, with emphasis on "mild". I give it a 6.

I actually really like it. No, it's not a good song, it's not on a par with There Is A Light..., but it's a nice, cute song and is one of the better ones on Kill Uncle.

It's a guilty pleasure for me, along with Roy's Keen, Golden Lights, Work Is A Four Letter Word and Pregnant For The Last Time.

Cringeworthy but some funny lines ("I tried to surprise you with vodka...or Tizer") ("You handed him back and you said "Well, you'll never guess..I'm bored now!"). A 6
"I think both me and Morrissey are about as proud as anyone can be about those records. I'm proud of everything the band did, and I'm proud of the relationship, and I'm proud of the friendship. I don't have any feud going on. I support what Andy's doing, and I don't know what Morrissey's doing but I'm behind it." - Johnny Marr, 2013.

Why would "Pregnant For The Last Time" be a guilty pleasure? There's no guilt in loving that one as far as I'm concerned! (Oh, and I like all those other "guilty pleasures" too. Especially "Roy's Keen" and "Work Is A Four Letter Word," both of which I have been heard singing over the last 24 hours.)

Well for me it's not actually guilty liking Pregnant...but Morrissey has called it "pretty ropey". I think he also said it's his least favourite solo single.

Our boy often lacks taste when it comes to his own material. I mean, he hates "Pregnant..." but likes "I Just Want To See The Boy Happy". As Linda Thompson once sang, where's the justice and where's the sense?

Pregnant... was back in '91....Boy Happy was in '06.

It's probably just because he wants to sing something new, so he does sing something new (I don't blame him)...we would all do the same as him if ever we had the chance to...

Could Morrissey and Boz handle the Rockabilly at their age?

Well, yes, that's true... but... "I Knew I Was Next" was in 2006 too and it's 100 times the song that "I Just Want To See The Boy Crappy" is. As is "Christian Dior". Or "Good Looking Man About Town". Or "If You Don't Like Me, Don't Look At Me". And just because an album is new doesn't mean you have to sing every last crummy track of it. I don't believe he ever sang "The Harsh Truth Of The Camera Eye" during the Kill Uncle tour.

Hopefully he'll look back on "Boy Crappy" in a few years and think, "What the hell was I thinking???"

Kill Uncle would have been a good album if the lads had been around to play on it. The live versions were good.

King Leer is a good live song, OK on the record.

It's better than most songs on Kill Uncle, but that isn't saying a lot 6

I adore it. Good music and good lyrics.
But 10 for a Morrissey song is never the same 10 of a Smiths song.
If I had to choose I'd always (almost) choose the Smiths song.

It's called a sidebar. It's really quite entertaining - you should try it sometime.

King Leer, blah blah blah blah blah... awful, awful lyrics... blah blah blah... 6. There, I did my part to keep this post on topic.

    I do like the tune....

I have ADD...I live for sidebars

    To start a fire...

I think I Just Want To See The Boy Happy is as catchy and trendy as First Of The Gang To Die...
