Nope, no dates yet, but in the "Important News" section of the band's official website (see link below), it was stated that B&S will be planning a tour of the US later in the year.

OK, who here is a B&S fan besides Suzanne and myself?

No-one, because they are @#!!!e and need their scrawny little bodies kicked around a bit to shut them up.

oh weee!!!

Now I am going to be impatient as all hell until I find out what the dates are.
Knowing my luck, they won't come to detroit. Blergh.

Looking foward to seeing them live.Hope they come to Boston.
It occured to me recently that the lead singer's voice sounds a bit like Donovan.

Okay, after you said that i had to go and compare and you're right...though it could have been the power of suggestion. i'm not sure...

btw, i like the digital pics you did of Batty on your page. She's so damn pretty.

Pah!

Well, I still have memories of seeing them in Boston back in '98. that was kinda fun. I may be asking too much for them to come here, but I can hope. Looper made it here, so why not?

Re: My fave Belle and Sebastian song

I've said nasty things about Belle and Sebastian in the past, but I must admit that they won me over with Fold Your Hands Child, You Walk Like a Peasant. I don't think it's their best album, but "The Wrong Girl" and "I Fought In a War" are great songs.

I'd have to say that "The Wrong Girl" is my fave of theirs. The melody is really sweet, and it's the one that got me.

Even when I wasn't a fan, I kept buying all their material, and I'm glad I did that because I was able to fill my cd changer with their discs and satisfy my whim. Which ended up hooking me.

Cili.

"The Chalet Lines"
"I Fought In A War"
"Get Me Away From Here I'm Dying"

who else thinks the music to "Like Dylan In Movies" sounds like "Why Dont You Find Out For Yourself?

Not really, but I kinda get reminded of Peanuts when I hear "Seeing other people" I think a lot of people think that.

depending on my mood:

"expectations"
"state I am in"
"get me away from here I'm dying"
"string bean jean"

hm. they all remind me of things...and they're all good.

Its hard to pick just one, you know.

Me too. I pulled it out of the cobwebs a couple of weeks ago in honor of May 1997 and I was glad I did. I think I realize more the greatness of their music as a whole than I did back then.
