7.....It'd be an 8 if it wasn't for the cheesy organ grinder music at the beginning and near the end
"The Past Was Yours, But The Future's Mine......"

People shouldn't Profit Off Of Morrissey...Nor should they hoard or "Trade' under specific conditions...Sharing is Caring, Friends...I Don't Eat My Friends, Nor Do I Withhold From Them

And I mean it in a COMPLETELY ARTISTIC sense, but it all depends on your point of view?

The strongest song on Kill Uncle in my opinion. It definitely fits in well on the album, but suffers from none of the shortcomings of the album. I.E., the lyrics are rather well-written in my opinion, the production suits the song.

    Dull, dull dull dull.
I quite like some of the lyrics but that's about it.
"I think both me and Morrissey are about as proud as anyone can be about those records. I'm proud of everything the band did, and I'm proud of the relationship, and I'm proud of the friendship. I don't have any feud going on. I support what Andy's doing, and I don't know what Morrissey's doing but I'm behind it." - Johnny Marr, 2013.

I only give one song a three: The Slum Mums. After that I give maybe Journalists Who Lie and Miserable Lie a 5. I think I voted Get Off the Stage a 5, but I should have given it a 6, it's catchy enough to make up for the lyrics that just don't sit very well with me.

Morrissey should get 4 points just for being Morrissey...

I'm probably the only person that likes Get Off The Stage...

Even I give All The Lazy Smykes a 4......

My dad loves Get Off the Stage. He was a Morrissey fan before I was born, but I've become the new expert so I made him a CD with all the rarities and uncompiled b-sides he never heard before and he's obsessed with that one.

I'm gonna give Slum Mums a 4 not because of Moz...but because of Boz. Moz gets at least 3 just for being Moz, but Boz gets a little extra. Because he's awesome.

I really like All the Lazy Dykes. I think I gave it an 8, I should have given it a 9, I've been listening to it constantly lately.

your dad sounds like he knows what he's talking about
"The idea of a counterculture is ultimately based on a mistake. At best, countercultural rebellion is pseudo-rebellion: a set of dramatic gestures that are devoid of any progressive political or economic consequences and that detract from the urgent task of building a more just society. In other words, it is rebellion that provides entertainment for the rebels, and nothing much else."

Gave this song an 8. This is my favorite track off the album. The lyrics and melody just said so much to me at the time...I remember putting this track on repeat and listening to it over and over. My favorite Moz tunes always manage to combine loneliness with a strong sense of defiance or independence....."The decision is mine..."...and this song definitely works in that regard.

Near Brilliant (9) and my fave track off Kill Uncle. I completely agree with esheh...this song pulls my heart-strings...I love the melancholy melody...and is he happy or sad to be the 'end' of the fffffamlilyline? I love when it fades out for awhile, then he comes back defiantly loud and strong "I'M...!!!" I kind of wish he has some offspring (I do and he doesn't know what he's missing) and then I could divert some of my obsession to that poor child as well Oh Moz, you have such incredible style. ((HUGS))

I agree totally. Lovely song, great vocals. Awesome! 9/10.
Outside there is a pain; emotional air raids exhausted my heart, and it's safer to be inside...

Touching, haunting and beautiful. Not to mention personal.

Anyone else here the potential END of their family line?

    a 9 without a doubt

every letter from the lyrics is like getting a bang with a hammer

[well for some us who can relate, like me ,the son and heir of a shyness
    that is criminally vulgar]
