As a part of Ken Russell season at NFT, Shelagh Delaney's Salford will be shown Saturday 14th July 8:40pm as a part of BBC Monitor Shorts Programme 1.

It was shot in 1960, a year after the publication of A Taste of Honey.
15 minutes long sounds not much, but it's worth watching.

This is a one-off screening.
Possibly the retrospective will be touring in Manchester (Cornerhouse) and Edinburgh Film House etc, check your local arthouse cinema website. :)

Thanks for that- have you been to the Mediatheque centre at the National Film Theatre by Waterloo Bridge? For anyone who lives in London, this is a truly amazing resource- you go along, book yourself in, get your headphones & watch British film/ tv archive material for as long as you can bear- it's free too.

Here's a link to the listings- includes South Bank on The Smiths, doc on Rough Trade as well as Schlesinger, Saturday Night Sunday Morning, Play For Todays etc

I'm a member of NFT since 1997 and finally NFT is catching up with French cinematheque.

I'll be busy watching many films in there this month.
Marlon Brando season is also on as well as the first UK showcase of Japanese master Mikio Naruse.

BUMP!

Screening will be held tomorrow evening, please come down to South Bank if you're free. :)
