I was terribly disappointed by May 28's issue of Entertainment Weekly. It was one of those special issues "celebrating pop culture"... This issue was headlined, "The 100 Greatest Moments in Rock." I skimmed through the pages in hopes of seeing some sort of Morrissey recognition...alas there was none. Well actually in the intro to the 80's section THE SMITHS were mentioned or actually just lumped in with a bunch of other bands (and nothing more was said). I wasn't shocked because (as we all know) this world lacks style. Although the NY Dolls did get a little attention (due to the fact that they were a vital part of Kiss' inspiration) and they threw in a picture of David Johansen.
On a side note~ some people (here) were saying the TRAINSPOTTING soundtrack was good. It was voted one of the Ten Essential Soundtrack Albums of the century.
