16 may be the law, but most people aren't ready until 17 anyways. They would be ready earlier if they were more educated about more than just the plumbing of sex and modern western societies didn't have such awkward messages about what sex is supposed to be.

I think I said a while ago, that women should be required to get the consent of the fetus' father before doing that...but then later I thought...we don't have genetic testing yet that can prove a man is the father of a child at that stage...still makes me mad that I have no control over my child's future..
