so what will it be doctoracula? any chance you can? :)

and BTW - does anyone have a good quality recording of the band preforming "Boy go" at the Green-tour? I got 4 versions, all of them quite poorly recorded...

I second this - I got mine but I can only play it on other people's turntables.

R.E.M. Plot Release of Six-Disc DVD Set 'REMTV'
Band collates numerous concerts, award shows and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction into career-spanning collection

By Kory Grow | September 26, 2014

R.E.M. may have broken up, but 2014 has become a very fruitful year for the band, which has just announced another box set. The six-disc DVD box set REMTV collects decades of television appearances, featuring footage of performances culled from concerts, award shows, their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction and general TV appearances from between 1983 and 2007. It contains both of the band's MTV Unplugged appearances from 1991 and 2001 – which was released on CD earlier this year as Unplugged: The Complete 1991 And 2001 Sessions – and the band's VH1 Storytellers show from 1998, all of which contain previously unreleased outtakes.

The band has dedicated three discs to live performances from the mid-Nineties to the late 2000s, including two free concerts that were filmed for broadcast in Cologne in 2001 and in Athens, Greece in 2008. Both shows appear in their entirety in the box set and contain more than a dozen previously unaired songs.

The box also contains a feature-length documentary about the band – R.E.M. by MTV – which traces the evolutions of both the group and the network together.

REMTV is due out November 24th, but is available for pre-order on the band's website. Pre-orders include an instant-gratification download of the group's MTV Sonic performance in Milan from 2001.

Earlier this year, the group put out two box sets comprising rarities from both its early days on I.R.S. Records in the Eighties and from the rest of its career on Warner Bros. Between the two sets, the band offered up more than 150 hard-to-find recordings.

Stray observations:
- Really great to have all the details! Thanks a lot for that, doc!
- If there's one R.E.M. song I'd be glad never to listen to again, it's "Man On The Moon". Check the box above to have an idea why. See Stipe screaming at the end to understand even better.
- There's still material left out. "Rough Cut" is a good example (was first aired on MTV, wasn't it?). Missed opportunity to finally release it. "One", by Automatic Baby, is another.
- Brilliant to finally have the MTV 10th ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL show, with the band and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra playing "Losing My Religion".
- If I can put my mitts on this, half my video bootlegs go down the drain.

Hi All
is someone willing to share the Milan 2003 show that can be downloaded only if you pre-order the REMTV box set on REMHQ.com?

here http://store.remhq.com/home/remtv.html it says:
Pre-order now and you will receive a instant download in your my account area of the R.E.M. Supersonic, Milan show, available to watch straight away.

It would be wonderful,
Thanks!

In deed that would be most wonderful - to import the box from the US costs far too much extra, only to get the files of this!

Anyone has this gig?

25 March 1987 - Uptown Lounge, Athens, GA
supporting: Sisters Of Mystery, Charlie Pickett And The MC3
set: Welcome To The Occupation / The One I Love / Fireplace / Oddfellows Local 151 / Finest Worksong / Exhuming McCarthy / Lightnin' Hopkins / Strange / It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)
notes: Charlie Pickett And The MC3 show. R.E.M. perform unannounced as a supporting act as 'Roar Shack'

I'm a little peeved that Amazon has REMTV listed for $30 less than REMHQ. But the fact that its a new R.E.M. release makes it worth the extra money! :)

sorry guys, i forgot about my promise. here's the Buck EP!

Thanks for that, doc. So far, I hate PB solo, but the first two tracks sound pretty good, for a change. And it's fun to hear him saying "I'm sorry I invented indie rock".

I wonder if there's gonna be two versions of this EP. News from August said tracks 3 and 4 would be demos for tracks 1 and 2, and the official release would be on Oct 21st. This version has two tracks from the latest LP instead.

But Peter never actually said that the two demos would be the same songs as the first side. The only actual information he provided was the product description, which says

"An extend play 33 RPM 7" EP. Peter brings us 4 songs on this one. Side A features two rockers - one being "Portrait Of A Sorry Man" in which Peter asks for forgiveness for all his sins and one being the classic rock thumper - "If This Is Love Give Me My Money Back". The other B side (did we mention this is a double B side?) is two raw stripped down demos played simply and beautifully by Peter and Scott McCaughey."

Then Slicing Up Eyeballs picked it up and a bunch of other sites wrote articles based on Slicing Up Eyeballs, just no-one got any more information from Peter Buck than there was in the first place. Some site or other (I forget which) claimed that Side BB contained demos of the songs from Side B, just like a game of Telephone.
