Yep. looks like the net is closing in.

Megaupload gone, rapidshare deleting files, google closing blogspots.

Have to upload to multiupload instead.

We're getting to the point where we are going to need a tapetrader site again and go snail mail

Does anyone have this bootleg? "Return Of The Rickenbackers".......there is a link here but I think the downloads are shot.

Please let me know if you have and can reupload.

    Thanks!

I have a box of cassettes that I've been hoarding for years with the intention of ripping them... but I never get round to it.

One of them is a recording taken from BBC Radio One of R.E.M., Billy Bragg, Robyn Hichcock and Clive Gregson & Christine Collister recorded at Mountain Stage in 1991/2

Is this show available digitally already? Ideally not just R.E.M. but the others (esp Billy) as well? Google and Youtube reveal some snippets of varying quality... but none are great.

Does anyone have it to share?

    Dave
    Jools Holland: "Knock Knock!"
    Morrissey: "I'm not in!"
    Jools: "Oh, come on."
Morrissey: "I refuse to open the door."

    Hi there,

A new member to the thread here, in search of two of the Irish shows posted by aido7777 last year, the Lansdowne Road 99 & Marley Park 03 ones to be precise. Unfortunately the megaupload links are now kaputt. As I attended both shows I would be extremely grateful if someone could re-post on a still functioning hosting site e.g. mediafire.

I have a fairly scant collection of REM live recordings but will of course keep an eye on requests in case I can be of help.

Since you are making a list, I can inform you that those are all the versions from www.supernaturalsuperserious.com, all recorded on the same night in order to make a video or so, I'm not sure. There aren't any more. And I guess they were not used for anything else.

For more acoustic versions recorded in other occasions, you have to check for a list of b-sides and live versions, like the Jo Whiley version thomas08 mentions above.

I'm looking for the recording from 06-06-1980, called "Early Movements", "Chronic Murmurings", or "Pretty Pictures". Thanks.

You can find "Chronic Murmurings" in low quality MP3 here: https://rs721l32.rapidshare.com/file...Rough_Mix_.zip
I'm still looking for it in FLAC, though.

Thanks gargumma! If anyone has a better quality version, that would be great, too.
