There were a lot of chatter about this at the time that people thought they were booing him, but as any Springsteen fan will tell you its a 'bruuuuuuuuuuuuce' cry that Springsteen fans do at most of this larger live shows, but it does sound like they are booing - its an odd homage I admit.
