London Quarry, June 23.

I received the following email from presumably the organiser of 'Quarry'. I am yet to see any mention of either the next evening or the email's content which may be of interest to members of this forum.


Hi,

The next Quarry is due to happen on Saturday 23rd June at Essence Bar,
1-5 Carthusian Street, London EC1M 6EB.
Doors 9pm - 3am

Advance tickets are £6 and tickets on the night will be £8.

June is usually a quiet month for Quarry because of holidays and it
also clashes with Glastonbury this year. The venue are concerned that
numbers will be down which will mean less money over the bar for them
and will result in me losing my deposit.

We have agreed that unless 50 advance tickets are sold by June 8th, two
weeks prior to the night, then we will cancel it. Two weeks gives the
venue enough time to plan alternatives and change staff schedules.

So if you wish to come along then please buy your advance tickets
before June 8th. If the event is cancelled then all ticket money will
be refunded.

I am also working on a special one off Quarry event to be held on the
Thames in August. I'll release details as soon as everything is
confirmed.

Hi,

The reason nothing was posted on here was that the posted email was sent to 1000 subscribed mailing list people. I do need to cancel the night if people dont buy tickets in advance. Quarry has been going for 2 years and June is always the quietest month and losing money on the night is not really ideal. I have no problem not making money but it becomes a problem losing money.

At this moment in time I still have to reiterate that I will not be able to run the night if there are not sufficient advanced tickets sold and at this moment in time there are not.

If you want to come and support the only London Morrissey/Smiths night then you need to buy your tickets in advance in the next couple of days otherwise I will have to cancel the night. Apologies to those who have bought tickets but you will get your money back.

So please, if you want to go, buy your tickets by the 8th June otherwise it will be cancelled.

Please support the night.
