Thread: NY Info Requested

    Default NY Info Requested

Can anyone here from New York recommend a cheap hotel? Not bothered about comforts, just a bed to put my head down after a night out on the beers!
I will be staying two / maybe 3 nights, depending on when I travel back from the Boston / Northampton gigs.

    Thanks

My friend stays at the Chelsea Star Hotel (300 West 30th Street), I think they have some cheap hostel rates. I've never been there m'self. Good luck!

Having seen the prices of the 'so called' budget hotels on a website, I think the above may be a good option!
I could drink all night in a bar and then crash under a tree in the park in the daytime!

Or, drink till about 2am and catch a Greyhound to Boston then rather than in the morning, sleeping on the bus instead of a hotel

    Thanks nugz
Greyhound is $49 return to Boston from NY, train is $50 each way.
I'm afraid this is very much a budget trip for me.
And no idea what the crack is in Northampton when I get there in terms of staying over etc. I believe it is in the middle of nowhere... could be a tent job in a field or woods somewhere, dodging racoons all night

JJ: Northampton is a cool little town, a little more boho than you'll expect. You'll be able to find cheap everything there, especially beer (college town). Wish I was going.

JJ - in case you havn't checked it - Trip Advisor is always worth consulting on budget/most hotels, and for reviews from those who've stayed there.
