been quite awhile since i've posted here, but at last there is a worthy event on the horizon. simply curious as to who might be attending the Specter gigs in NY and in Boston, as I'll be at both.

i'm honestly still in disbelief that i'll be in the presence of 2 smiffs at once, even if they are lawnmower parts.

so--any Maladies (been off the list for hearly a year, but...) or otherwise making the trek? It's at least worth going to catch ezra and the boys do their thing, no?

How 'bout the gig at the Tune Inn in New Haven?

Unfortunately, that's the only one I'd be able to catch (and I SO wanted to see them at CBGBs).

Lawnmower parts?!?!?! Without Andy Rourke the Smiths wouldn't have been HALF the band they were. I challenge you to find another bassist as imaginative and original as Andy! Just think of a song like This Night Has Opened My Eyes or Well I Wonder or Barbarism Begins At Home and think what they'd be like with an 'Oasis'esque bass line (the four-note-a-song ones that are so easy to churn out its laughable), the songs would lose A LOT of their charm.
Mike Joyce had a job that could've been done by any number of people but I nonetheless think his personality was a big contribution to the band.

I'm jealous!

Thanx,

alex

p.s. what ever happened to those TV show host plans??

You smell of rotten clit cheese. Wash, douche or do something, you make me ill! And I know you ain't got no license to.

In other words vagina mouth, Wash your hole..BOTH of them cu.ntcake!

I could think of half a dozen bassists as imaginative and original as Rourke, but I take your point.
