Default The reason Morrissey is unable to find a contract

The world is becoming stupider. As the world is doing this the entertainment industry has responded by putting out music and movies that appeal to the masses. The reason I say this is that, in most cases, people who are reasonably intelligent and have higher paying jobs are probably more likely to have one or two children. Forgive me for generalizing, but typically they are more concerned with the welfare of their offspring and would prefer to have only one or two children that they could really mold into productive members of society. On the other hand the poor uneducated masses are having more children. There are probably a lot of reasons for this, e.g. lack of birth control. And again I'm generalizing, I'm sure there are poor uneducated people who only have one child. Anyway, back to my point, while the educated are having only one or two children that replace them when they die, the poor, typically undereducated, are having more children and increasing the amount of stupidity in the world. After years and years of this happening the world has become what you see today, a collection of stupid people with a few almost extinct intelligent people scattered here and there. The entertainment industry to appeal to these masses have only put forth musical acts like Broccoli Spears, Bucktoothed Boys, Out of Sync, etc., and have not produced a decent movie in years. When a label tries to put forth an act like Morrissey, the masses say, "huh, who the hell is that, what's the word dagenham mean, why are the teachers afraid of the pupils, why's that boy racing about, who the f.uck is keats and yates, etc"
The solution to this problem, put sterilizing agents in the tapwater. Then only people who drink bottled water (you know the more wealthy intelligent) will be able to reproduce making the world smart again. Only then will Morrissey be able to find a contract and make music again.

They may be smarter, but unless they add fluoride to bottled water, they'll also have rotten teeth.

You know I can leap, but not that far. Come back with some real figures from the last US census. Some SAT scores and poverty charts and we'll talk.

One thing you said I can agree on: The entertainment industry does shoot towards the center.

    Try again,

Nice theory, and partly true - however, concerning Morrissey I think we're closer to the truth saying that there are well loads of record labels who'd sign him if they could agree on what he's asking for. He will get a record deal the day he finds someone who's willing to pay him the kind of dosh he wants. That may take another while.

Name one wealthy intelligent person other than Morrissey. They are the ring leaders.

    Ha Ha ....Stupider?

Only rich wealthy people should be allowed to reproduce so Morrissey can be popular again? I do hope you were being sarcastic and not incredibly naive.

possibly a really stupid question but when you say the entertainment industry and their films, do you just mean the mainstream distribution films or are you including every film made in there? I think there is still definitely good indie flicks being made (as I think there are still good indie bands coming out) Of course, they are being overlooked by the heads of the entertainment industry themselves, the oscars.

Interesting idea except I drink tap water iltered through brita which may or may not filter out these so-called sterilization agents so I may in turn be sterilized. But you know, I'm not exactly thrilled about having children anyway so no matter.

Wanted: One bottled water drinking Morrisey fan to produce highly intelegent offspring for record deal.

Very clever deduction. It's also probably flattering to Morrissey when you are basically saying that he is underappreciated because of all the stupid people wasting the smart people's time and money.

    More laughter...

It's always us and them. Oh, and can you be sure that these kids would appreciate Morrissey or The Smiths? I guess you could lock them in a closet and pipe it through the keyhole...for their own good.

You forgot to mention what happens to the more attractive people.

But once the stupider people start electing their own into positions of wealth and power out of veracity of wanting to be led by their own, this will eventually overcrowd and push out the more smarter people to the bottom of the food chain. Then, the stupider people will be too "on the go" to produce any off spring, and then many of the smart ones, having nothing better to do since they now have had their computers, DVD players, and roundtrip tickets to Jamaica taken away from them by a society that now deems their talents useless, will have all the time in the world to spawn their own.
