While we wait for the new album to arrive, let us go about rating the songs we know, on a daily basis, and compile our own Morrissey/Smiths Top 100.

And instead of chronologically, let's do them alphabetically.

5: Uninspired

Absolute classic in my eyes. Best song of "The Dark Years."

10.

7

some days imight say 8, but not today. it's a good song, and a unique one in the canon in that it is so absolutely forgiving. it's perhaps that forgiveness that makes me slide to 7, what with me being bitter and all.

I've always really liked this song, both musically and lyrically. I mean, how can you NOT like a song that includes the word "salient"? Although I only wish that Moz took the lyrics to heart... but he does thrive off bitterness and revenge-seeking, so I guess I shouldn't complain. I voted this one a 7 - I must have been cranky that day or something. It's clearly an 8. Alas...
