Let the right one slip in.
Let the right one in
Let the old dreams die
Let the wrong ones go
They cannot
They cannot
They cannot do what you want them to do
Oh ...
Let the right one in
Let the old dreams die
Let the wrong ones go
They do not
They do not
They do not see what you want them to
Oh ...
Let the right one in
Let the old things fade
Put the tricks and schemes (for good) away
Ah ... I will advise
Ah ... Until my mouth dries
Ah ... I will advise you to ...
Ah ... let the right one slip in
Slip in
Slip in
And when at last it does
I'd say you were within your rights to bite
The right one and say, "what kept you so long ?"
"What kept you so long ?"
Oh ...
what difference does it make?

although i have been for a while.
do you ever find that if you listen to a song too often, after a while, you get sort of sick of it...even though you adore it? It usually happens to me after several months worth of listening to the song over and over and over again.
do you understand, sir, do you understand what it means when you have absolutely nowhere to turn..for every man must have somewhere to turn

^ In response to the above, I keep trying to find my Rank CD! I just moved across town about a month ago and in my haste the alphabetical aspect of my CD collection has been 'rearranged', to say the least. However, I do agree with your statement.
Anyhow, tonight I was revisiting The Queen Is Dead album (yet again) and in particular I am obsessed with "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out"; partly due to such being one of my favorite Smith/Moz songs, but also due to the fact that if the opening Stockton show did not end early due to stage crashers, this was supposed to have been the next song played in the encore.
How nice that would have been indeed... cheers tonight for us all.

"I think both me and Morrissey are about as proud as anyone can be about those records. I'm proud of everything the band did, and I'm proud of the relationship, and I'm proud of the friendship. I don't have any feud going on. I support what Andy's doing, and I don't know what Morrissey's doing but I'm behind it." - Johnny Marr, 2013.
