Working girl, I've been really enjoying all your post. I mean, you come off really intelligent, but you're really half assing all your arguments. Lets look at England and what they did to South Africans and Jamaicans. In your own words, you can't really preach about other's countries deeds, as well.

I'm sorry, but I'm really anal-rententive and have to correct something. I meant to say, "you can't really preach about other countries' deeds."

OK, let's be fair. i checked the ticket price on short notice and that was the price. this time I went with a date a year from now and got them round trip.

    Your Price (US Dollars)
Per Person Taxes/Fees No. of Travelers Price
    656.00 67.40 1 Adult(s) 723.40 USD
Total Price for all travelers: 723.40 US Dollars

    plus food, board, travel, etc.

once again, i still don't have the green and I know my parents don't. I'd rather Kerouac it across the US. plus you don't have to deal with eurotrash that way.

my friends just got back from an awesome surf trip down there...cheap as hell.

my friend drove up to canada from Denver on a whim and got harassed by mounties who tore apart his car looking for drugs. he ended up in a Hooter's in Canada drinking beer.

I am not my country or my fellow countrymen.

There are racists in Britain, only this weekend, the National Front held a march through Brixton. A mainly black residential area of south london and a place I lived in for six years and I loved it.

The a theme I have noticed in many of the replies to my posts, that the individual can not separate themselves (an American) from their government or Country (America).

If you agree with what your government does in your name, then fine. If not do something about it, don't shoot the messenger.

I hope I am not preaching.

And if you read my posts in this link I have said that the UK has been guilty in the past.

    I was responding to MEDUSA.

I am pointing out the fact that in the 19 Century it was Britain and now it appears that the US have taken on this mantle.

Well, honestly, it looks like you're giving one long sermon about how awful America is. If you know anything about history then you know power corrupts. They'll always be at least one super power nation using most of the world's resources and I'm afraid that'll never change as long as human beings are around.

Again I am responding to a response to my post.

What I am trying to say is that America (the state) not the individuals that live there, is not the the best thing since sliced bread and that the individuals that live there, would be better of understanding this and doing something about it.

Unfortunately the knee-jerk reaction to my posts has been that America (the State) is wonderful. As near to perfect as is possible on earth, and that sure ain't true buddy.

If you don't want to hear it fine, but some of your fellow countrymen think it isn't true and that kind of mentality is, at the extreme, dangerous.

    Eurotrash are better than ameritrash!

    > I thought we hated the US so much we were going to flee and

Hmm. I'll admit that right now I'm thinking of looking for a European outlet for my stuff.

Do you know our local frat boy freak George Devore? I was reading his bio in the SXSW guide and they were bragging how he has been on German national TV 3 times.

...and you will know us by the trail of dead actually gets written up in Q and other nationally published music mags in britain.

And how great is that? If people start pestering you, you can go home and nobody gives a @#!!! about who you are. Also, they have many independent labels that are small, on the lookout for weird stuff, and it still gets airplay. Roll out of bed, play a few dates, give them a "howdy, ya'll" to amuse them, and go home.

Yup, that's the life for me.

    > beautiful country. watch out for Federales.

I had a friend who went through there and onto Central America.

    > my friends just got back from an awesome surf trip down

I dunno. I feel bad for exploiting a place for being cheap.

The guy that went to central america had some dumbasses in the car that answered "si" to the question if they had drugs on them because they didn't know any spanish, and they had to sit by the side of the rode as their car got torn apart.
