This is really old (from the January 2001 issue of Select) so it may have been mentioned before, but I thought I'd post it anyway just in case it hasn't.

It's from a little bit titled "Cover Perversions":

Schneider TM "There is a Light That Never Goes Out"
[from 'Binokular' album, City Slang]
Transforms The Smiths' 1986 I-haven't-got-a-girlfriend' suicide frolic into clicking machine noise vocodering.

Improved? No, but if it irritates Morrissey its job is done.

I didn't think this news was worthy of David's front page so I thought I'd just put it up here for all you good, good people.

I just can't seem to understand why we so often ("often" in relation to how seldom we read about Morrissey at all) have to read debasing remarks about Morrissey still. It's like these 'music' journalists don't realize that they're talking about one of the most significant (and loved) figures in the history of pop music. Where's the respect? It's like having to listen to an old bully carrying on about someone who's all grown up, moved away, and doesn't care anymore. It's sort of pathetic if you ask me. "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore"? Indeed.

Kisses.

Hi Fabricio.

kisses to you,

Here's the deal: Ever hear the saying "those who can do. Those who can't teach"? Journalists, like comics, take the easy route to get a laugh. Ever see a comedian live? You don't wanna be the geeky looking guy in the third row. He's sure to pick on you and make you look like an A*s in front of your date. There ya go. Morrisey is an easy target, as you know. And it's payback time for the high-school geek turned journalist. Hint hint, these journalists are probaly closet-cases and are inadequately venting their frustrations, as well as their sexual proclivities, along with their sexual-inadequacies. By the way, disn't the magazine Select fold? Means that this lazy journalist is/was out of work. Ooops.....Plenty of time to write a nice piece on The Queen Is Dead's 20 year anniversary.
