Doing a bit of shameless 80's indie reminiscing....

Did anyone ever see Half Man Half Biscuit perform.. I mean, apart from the hilarious track titles, and the entertaining lyrics, there was some decent tunes in there.. wasn't there?

But what were they like live I wonder?

I was almost tempted to mention The Brilliant Corners, and the seminal 80's pop indie.. 'Brian Rix' and the 'Sultans of Ping FC' and the wonderful 'Wheres Me Jumper'.. Oh, so wonderfully British!!

And now you know why, and how my musical heritage brings me to this amusing site!

Half Man Half Biscuit are still very much alive and well. After disbanding in 1987 or so, they reformed in 1990 and have produced album after album of class material since. Please click the link below for the official website.

I've seen the Biscuits play live on numerous occasions and they are a treat not to be missed if you're a fan. Nigel (the singer) is famous for his between-song wit. They really are a national treasure, as Mr John Peel once said.

I also saw the Sultans of Ping at Manchester Boardwalk in about 1992 or 93. That was a good gig, apart from when somebody smacked me in the face (accidentally) in the mosh at the front. Ow.
