You should do like Marilyn Manson did: let them do a surgery on you to remove a few rib!

I was about to type that, Wolve!

I'm sorry but I can't stand that band! If they sing a song about Reggie and Ronnie, I might change my mind!

My brother is a 'recreational' coke user. He's sleeping when its day, and by night he goes out to party. When he's on drugs he's aggressive and wilde. A few weeks ago he blooded the sheets in his bed. Denied it was from sniffing. He too started with pot and X and now it's this, I turned around when I saw what it did to him. I used to be okay with drug use. Thought it was pretty cool. It might be cool to society, but it's destructive and it makes you paranoid. In Holland, drugs are not 'normal' instead of (what I hear) use in the UK. Seems like he lessened it a bit the past month. He's out of bounds, but I hope he gets cleaned. It's just a shitty lifestyle when you summ it up.

oh yes, the supposed 'enlightened Dutch'
my dead god, the list of offensives committed againt the planet and its people
by 'Dutch based' multinational corporations is staggering
    but yes
    of course
the gross abuses involving 'the legal drug trade', ARMS exports and constant efforts to corner various 'energy markets'
    leave most Dutch people
    im guessin
blissfully unaware of their shared complicity in western evil
    but yeah
their drug policy is undoubtedly superior to ours
you know, the shittiest one in the world
    which
    incidentally
allows for greater profits for many Dutch shareholders
as they profit mightily through staggeringly wasteful 'war on drugs'
    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

First of all, hard drugs are illegal. The reason Holland legalised soft drugs is to decrease hard drug use. Taht didn't work out, hard drug use in Holland is as much as in other European countries. I don't know where you got your numbers on Dutch arm trade, but I'd love to see them. Shareholding? That's very far fetched. We are dealing with an illegal market. The only ppl that benefit from this are either in the bussiness or in the know. We are not a banana republic with corruption on every street corner. I'm against drug use myself, against coffeeshops myself, but you overreact in your picture.

Are there any plans to make smoking (cigarettes) in public places ilegal like in other EU countries in Holland? Just wondering if that would entail the end of the coffeeshop?

How's pub culture these days in Ireland. Is it damaging the pub economy. As far as Holland, a few years ago there went some votes up to do a ban, but I think it was cancelled. I think the goverment promised us this vote wont pass in the fortcoming next 5 to 10 years. And even then you need to find a majority in parlement. I don't think it'll ever pass, not in my lifetime at least.
