Morrissey looking for a label hasn't stopped EMI from releasing a remixed album of "Viva Hate". Much to Morrissey and company's protests, fans are specifically encouraged to not purchase the album due out this November through many fan sites and "strange" press releases. This "unofficial" remix is part of EMI's relaunch of Morrissey's Gold Discs under the banner "November spawned a Master."

The album boasts remixes done by Sneaker Pimps, Andy Bell of Erasure, Moby, DJ Coldcut, Prozak and Bernard Sumner of Electronic. One track however that has been pulled was Eminem's "Break Up the Family 2001" due to conflicts of artistic integrity. Rumored that Emninem demanded to shout "F A GGOT!" in place of "Family" is the reason why it was nixed.

"People are tired of waiting for any new material," EMI president Sharon Glassgannon said. "This is our way of saying to (Morrissey's) fans that we didn't forget them."

However, fans do feel otherwise with Glassgannon's optimism.

"I think it is tacky! Where's the badges and reissue, repackage!!!" cried Mitch Freddy. "Of course I'll buy it..sort of."

To make matters worse, EMI is hoping to release a set of Morrissey action figures, complete with garden playset to coincide with the November promotion. Morrissey was not availble for comment.

On a side note, Boz Boorer has decided to rename himself Johnny Marrtini as a tribute to "...the coolest Drummer in the band YO!" Those are his exact words, November indeed.

Is this true? Ohmigod... That's terrible! What can we do?
