Jools Holland: "Knock Knock!"
Morrissey: "I'm not in!"
Jools: "Oh, come on."
Morrissey: "I refuse to open the door."
Just a week later and the very last British World War I veteran, Harry Patch has died too.
Very sad, however 111 isn't a bad age at all. Rest in peace.

Rest In Peace Bobby!
Love PTxx.
true gentleman, will be missed, dearly.
Just heard the news. A true football man. Loved his Ipswich teams back in the day.
"You have killed me Jose' but my heart is free"
Yes, the Ipswich team of the late 70's / early 80's were bloody good.... I remember listening to the FA Cup semi Final draw 1981...... City, Spurs, Wolves and Ipswich.
I definately didn't want Ipswich but would have been happy with Wolves or Spurs..... we drew Ipswich......
Villa Park.....(I was there, aged 18) a brilliant, tense game, but 0-0 after 90 mins.... Paul Power scored a fantastic free kick in extra time to send City through to Wembley........
but they were pushed all the way by Ipswich......
Gates, Mariner, Butcher, Cooper, Mills, Beattie (he was fucking good), Whymark (he was very fucking good), Geddis, Wark, Murhen, Thyson..... later Alan Brazil..... they won the UEFA Cup the year later
