I've always hated being shy, but this has made me feel better about myself. Cheers.

Around certain people I can be quite loud and wierd, but I clam up around new people so making new friends is quite difficult. Infact, most of the people I am friends with have been because they've initiated it but I love the friends I do have to bits. My college teacher says I have gained confidence and am not so shy as I used to be so I hope I come out of it.

I do get depressed sometimes, but I have my moments of happiness. I wouldn't say I was a loser though.

I hate it when people ask me why I am shy, I don't know why I am myself, I just am.

Same, I've never really been depressed before but some people assumes I am because I’m so quiet but my mate know I’m not.

Depends if i'm with anyone; i'm very shy when i have to go places alone or do stuff on my own. I'm quite content in solitude at times though.

I am really shy and it has affected my life.
    Depressed on and off.
Don't know about a loser though.

Bernard Black is how I imagine Moz to be when he's at home; a tousled, grouchy, gorgeous, hilariously funny celt, with a glass of wine in one hand, a ciggie (though in Mozzer's case probably a lolly) in the other, surrounded by books and the few friends he actually trusts. Black Books is one of the best comedy's of the last decade.

As for the 'shy depressed loser' thing, I can still be painfully shy at times, but only when I'm having a paranoid day, where I think I've stumbled into the Truman Show. I used to be depressed; not enough for medication, but enough to cry every day and suffer regular panic attacks, hallucinations, and feel suicidal (though as someone pointed out to me the other day, isn't that just called 'being a teenager'?) and I've never thought of myself as a loser, but I was a geek at school and things haven't exactly turned out as I would've liked ... but there's always time.
Morrissey contributed to my current sunny disposition, vegetarianism and comedy did the rest; forget Prozac, The Smiths were my drug and I've been 'well' for about 4 years now .... but not normal, never that
His eyes may never look at me again. I would rather that they never did; I hope that they never may. But I would not have the light of them taken out of my life, for anything my life can give me.

Shy? Yeah, most of the time. I prefer to think of myself as highly discerning.

Depressed? Yeah, probably. Not outwardly to the point where others would think so, but when I think of all of the horrible things happening in the world, I feel great sadness.

Loser? Hmmm, I suppose that's subjective. I've accomplished more than many people my age, but then again, less than others. How would I avoid being a loser? Financial success? Personal happiness? Spiritual fulfillment? A box of Jaffa cakes and some Christian Louboutin shoes would probably be enough but I'm not very ambitious.

"The idea of a counterculture is ultimately based on a mistake. At best, countercultural rebellion is pseudo-rebellion: a set of dramatic gestures that are devoid of any progressive political or economic consequences and that detract from the urgent task of building a more just society. In other words, it is rebellion that provides entertainment for the rebels, and nothing much else."

I'm shy at times, not always. I just have low self-esteem... And it sucks, I'm sure you agree. But I wouldn't call myself a loser.

I'm friendly, so talking to strangers isn't SO difficult and horrible for me. And I do have friends, really good ones, I just feel I'm invisible to most people. I would say I'm that type of person you see somewhere and might even talk to but very soon you will forget me. I'm one of those average, easy-to-forget girls. But thank god for Morrissey!
