Little Miss Sunshine
Hilarious film with great music and script, especially the wonderfull dialogue. The audience (yes, a cinema) gave it spontanous applaudes.
4/5 is my rating of it.

What would Birgit Friggebo do?
I finally saw Borat the other day ... although it was mostly a laugh-out-loud experience, the movie did go over-the-top a few times and more then once was I kinda sick to my stomach (by both "Borat" and the people he encountered along the way). Pfff, weird.
^^That's the last movie I saw too. Bit weird, but effing hilarious!

^^^ i saw it too the other week, its funny how now the lads in the campervan are trying to sue the producers. the women at the dinner party is complaining now, to news networks.
it would seem the american's aren't getting the joke (surprise) as they are the butt of it in the film anyway.

^^ Glad I saw it before it gets sued out of cinemas! (can't believe they let me in to see it though... ah, the wonders of the multiplex staff in Eastern Europe)

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou
it's a very visually film with loads of odd little CG touches and subtle visual gags. The cutaway tour of the ship was a classic, and everything seem to be in pastals. i'm begining to get bored of bill Murray's deadpan performances but I also liked the smaller roles like Klaus. The soundtrack was wonderful with unexpectedly hilarious Bowie covers, scott walker and pounding, rocking tracks in the action scenes, which were very flamboyant. i wish i had paid more attention to it that is a probelm with watching films at home sometimes.

The squid and the whale- A battle of the sexes, tug-of-love, black comedy. I enjoyed it suprisingly.
I saw The Departed a few days ago. It was good and very suspenseful, despite some odd script choices, especially the sucky ending. Very good peformances all around, especially from Leo DiCaprio, who I usually can't stand and would never think of as a "hardass."Nicholson was also good as usual, though not as scary as you'd expect from a mobster. He's more the "he's off his rocker" scary, rather than "he has no conscience" scary, you know? Also, I could have done without the heavy Boston accents, especially from Mr. Damon (who really is from Boston, but it's no excuse, he never talks like that in real life).
I recommend it though, all in all a movie that makes you think.
I was bit sceptical about "The Departed" because I've watched the original (Infernal Affair) and didn't like the idea of remake.
However, Scorcese ditched confusing flashbacks and casted distinctive actors which worked very well.
Look forward to his next film "The Silence" which is an adaptation of Japanese Novelist Shusaku Endo.
"The Squid and The Whale", I'm very disappointed with the director's use of soundtrack.
The choice of the music is good, but he doesn't know how to use them effectively.
As sonof77 commented it's a very interesting film and worth watching.
^^So you liked it, huh? I read most people who saw the original didn't, they felt it lacked the emotional depth of the original. I didn't see the original but I think i know what they're talking about.

Saw Casino Royale last night in a very packed cinema. It was great, Daniel Craig is Bond, he looks tough and looks like the type of man who can do the job. The whole style of the Bond film has changed, gone are the silly gadgets and when he is hit or punched he bleeds, he hurts etc he doesn’t walk away and just straightens his tie! He even ends up in hospital.
While you would like to say it gritty, it isn’t really, the pacing of the film is it’s only flaw. The action is exciting and the violence very brutal as it shows, what he has to do to get the job done and it isn’t nice.
Eva Green is stunning as Vesper Lynd and also it still has the exotic locations and flash cars.
Lets hope Eon productions stick to this type of Bond film, which they tried to do when Timothy Dalton played him but failed in the late 80s. It was a “gamble” with Casino Royale but it’s has worked.
