The Stories of Breece D'J Pancake.
What then is salvation? I believe that salvation is the process through which one suddenly is able to bear that this life is meaninglees, empty, cold and indifferent - in itself a nothingness.

I'm reading a biography on Moses Maimonides. He's a Talmudic Scholar who has mastered the art of the phonetic reading of the Torah. He's quoted a lot in the books I've read for years, as a normal man he has a fascinating life. I'm under the impression he spoke The Language of the Birds but applied it to his Torah studies as opposed to pop culture like what I do. Fascinating read. I'm not reading this particular edition so the translation might be different, but I'm loving Heschel's style.

A Light That Never Goes Out by Tony Fletcher. It felt a bit too much like a book by a fan at first but as it goes along it's been quite readable.

its a, sort of, sequel to their great book called "The Talisman"
this one starts off real slow, but I am halfway into it now and its pretty good

space is at a premium when it comes to my luggage
a lot of books I wanted to take simply did not make the cut, here are the ones that did:

its a pretty random assortment, which includes books I've had for years
or some I just got, and others that just fit "size wise" and I have never read
but there many others I have which I will miss
