I like the hot water bottle cover...![]()
i went out last night wearing my morrissey ROTT t shirt and had no problems.
had a banal comment at work. but that didn't matter as the person in question has the intelligence of piece of cut off carpet used to as a flooring in the front of a car!

My mum hates 'em. I wear them with dignity. Because I'm a proud Fan.
I agree with you. I enjoy showing the world that I love Morrissey - I couldn't care less what people think.
I am 16 years of age and own several garments of Morrissey clothing, and I wear them with pride. My friends tend to wonder why I love him so much, but I can't quite describe to them how good he actually is - it is like talking to a brick wall at times.
I have worn my Morrissey t-shirts quite frequently for a while now and have only ever had the 2-3 comments about it.
There's one of my friends who, whenever he comes round to mine, always looks at my Moz CDs and asks:
"Who is Morrissey?"
This indicates that he has never heard of the man, and this has happened on at least three ocassions now.
Then on other occasions, when I point out to him that he has awful taste in music (which he does), he says something along the lines of:
"Well you like Morrissey!"
THE MAN DOESN'T KNOW WHO HE IS! HOW CAN HE PASS JUDGEMENT ON SOMEONE HE'S NEVER EVEN HEARD?![]()
Who also really, really annoy me are the people who hate The Smiths despite never knowingly listened to them, but have in actual fact heard several of their songs and just not known it was them who did them. For example, most people have heard "How Soon Is Now?" but not even heard of The Smiths. So you tell them it was The Smiths who did that song and they suddenly go off it.
But still, I would hate Moz to go mainstream, if you catch my drift. If everyone liked him then it would just be strange - it wouldn't feel like his music was mine anymore, it would be like he'd just be another boring pop star with nothing of interest to sing about. Fortunately this isn't the case.
Anyway, to quote the man himself:
"I'm going on a bit now, so I'll shut up."
At least he doesn't call him an old geezer or a homo like a few people I know [including family] have called him in my presense. They're just mad because I tell them that their hip-hop ghetto music they listen too is pure SH*T. YOU keep telling this guy his music sucks......maybe one day he'll see the light. It's so much fun to make'em mad!![]()
well i said that's your opinion, and why was it that they felt like that! this person didn't even comment on the music as such, just told me that 'they didn't like the look of him'. But 'liked it when he had flowers'. so there wasn't any enlighterment on the standard of his recent albums or the british music industry.
i wear the t shirt underneath a dress jacket. still can't wear jeans ot trainers!
but i get away with a ringleaders of the tormentors shirt.

Most people have no clue who the hell he is ...on occasion a few people enquire...I own about 6 shirts and only wear them for a few months. I have this crazy thing about keeping them looking *new* so when I am 60 I can wear them and embarrass my grandchildren!
Now...where did my splel-chcker goo?
An amusing story;
On my desk in work I ahve lots of music gig tickets from when I've done an "away" day (as it were) Obviously most of them are of Morrissey.
Anyway a girl came over and goes (in a proper West Country accent which hardly assisted her) "aar so you like Morrissey? They're gay aren't they!!!!"
Well I thought it was funny

It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don't have any kids yourself
Bluebirds, that's very funny. OT of course, but I know a person who repeatedly calls Morrissey "Morrisson".And the funny thing is, he says he listens to him! I always think we are talking about two different people, but I haven't got the energy to enlighten him.

Max or Tom???
"The idea of a counterculture is ultimately based on a mistake. At best, countercultural rebellion is pseudo-rebellion: a set of dramatic gestures that are devoid of any progressive political or economic consequences and that detract from the urgent task of building a more just society. In other words, it is rebellion that provides entertainment for the rebels, and nothing much else."
People always seem to comment on my Morrissey/Smiths t-shirts. 99 per cent of the time it's positive, though I nearly left a bar in disgust when the barman asked, completely deadpan 'Is that Neil Morrissey?'
Well,I`m in my late thirties and well,is it done to pick the kids up in a Moz t-shirt?Soon as I get one I like I shall as I don`t care really what people think.I mean its got be a bit cooler than say a Take That shirt.I`d actually like to get hold of the blue skinny fit ROTT t-shirt that was up for sale at the gigs last year but cannot find anything similar apart from the US site. The Bravado site for the UK is rubbish. They seem to cater mostly for the men.
I bought 4 from the only gig i saw him at. Dragging my 13 yo daughter through Manchester around 11pm to get to the train station, a group of p*ssheads, saw the t-shirts and shouted asking us about the gig....and because i was holding her hand they also asked us in a NOT very nice way if we were 'gay'. I lost it and told them that she was my bloody 13 yo daughter and to keep their traps hut.(probably not a good move come to think of it, bit dangerous like, innit?)
I also went into Music Zone(looking for the Morrissey Icon greeting card and i got it) and i was wearing my ROTT tee. The guy behind the counter asked me if i had seen him live and i told him all about the gmex gig. Really nice guy.
So last but not least, my partner hates my Moz t-shirts, so does his mother and his sister. They seem to think i am ramming my obsession down my partners throat.........Arrrgggggggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
You don’t like me, but you love me
Either way you’re wrong
You’re gonna miss me when I’m gone
Don't you hate it when you decide to wear a Smiths t-shirt to work, and then you get there and someone else is wearing one? This happened to me today, I'm wearing my "The Smiths" shirt and a co-worker is wearing a "The Queen is Dead" shirt.... oh well, I'll wear another Smiths shirt tomorrow and see what happens!!![]()
I'd love it if that happened! there is a guy at work who likes moz, he has a rott-tshirt. was a good conversation starter when I was new. I don't have any Moz-tshirt-experience yet as I didn't have any until today.. I painted onecheaper than the darn postage from the uk. though mine is not too obvious. has moz' face on front with the text 'bigmouth' , and 'smiths' on the back.
it takes a fool to remain sane
