Is it okay if it's confessions à la 'all the places where I recently masturbated'?
Here, pick up, dig, dig out those weeds out of your happy go lucky fields, of such pollutive thinking

She obviously doesn't think it's bad if she's doing it in more than one place .

I've been ignoring some of my duties recently (related to a club that I was very active in last year), for various reasons, and it's really been bothering me. I'm hoping that I can make everything right again, but I'm not sure how.

you can't do everything, juggling to much means sometimes that you can't do your best.
talk to the people at the club say your 'sorry', state your reasons why you haven't been involved. being honest will make people appreciate you more.

I've been so busy focusing on one of my friends who's been ill recently, I've neglected one of my other friends a bit. We went to see a musical on Friday, and I didn't think to invite her. I mean, we organised it on the spur of the moment, and she probabiy wouldn't have gone, but I feel really mean now.

Last term, my flatmate ate my humous - this made me mad! So when we had a kitchen party and he stuck a dead fish to the wall with tomato ketchup, I 'accidentally' let slip whodunnit to the resident tutor the next morning, when she came down to tell us the cleaners were refusing to go near our flat. Is a £50 fine a bit steep for eating someone else's chickpea-based dip?

I have to write my diploma work but instead of it I'm doing all kinds of things, like watching Morrissey dvds, playing, uh... don't know. And I feel really bad and it's getting worse, but still... I'm not writing.

Not something I've done, but something that's been bothering me lately (hopefully not too much information, but since there's a "most embarrasing sexual moment" thread I think this'll be ok ).
I'm really scared of getting pregnant. For various reasons the only contraceptive I can use right now is a diaphragm, which is only 82-96% safe. My doctor says I shouldn't be that worried because lots of women in Europe and America use them. Is this true? Do you or your friends have good/bad experience with this?

Drunken Golfish: first, you should also remember that contraception is not just the woman's job. If you are worried about getting pregnant, diaphragms and condoms used together (and correctly - that's the key) can do the trick. Condoms will also help stop STD's, which diaphragms will not do.

You should definitely access some public health information on the web, preferably from a science-based source.

Thanks, Busy Clippers (I first read your name as Busy Slippers, don't ask me why ).
I know it's not just a woman's job but as I said I can't use condoms (or pills, for that matter) anymore for all sorts of reasons, and thankfully I don't have to worry about STD's. I was hoping someone could explain why diaphragms are so popular in other parts of the world (or maybe they're not?) if they're so unsafe, and perhaps put my mind at ease. But you're right, I should stick to the dry, scientific facts - only 82-96%. *sigh*
Thanks for hearing me out, this confession thing's nice .

there doesn't seem to be problem really, sometimes 'spur of the moment' things/events people do get left out; i know i have done and have been too!
i hope you can tell your friend that you feel bad about it and i think that will make everything ok.

1st of all humous is yummy and i had a huge amount of it last night!
he was very selfish to eat your food (but that is the 'joy' of living with friends)
and he was very silly to stick dead fish to the wall!
you done the right thing, as you also could of faced the fine, (as well as having no humous), don't feel bad!

it is hard to get into gear to do work sometimes; you may of already done it now!
but knuckle down, it has to be done and when it is, all them dvds and playing will still be there and sooner you have it done the more time you have with the fun things in life!

I know, you're right, but it's so hard to sit down and focus on it, even though I like the topic I'd choosen to write... But I'm gonna leave everything else and start it right away. I know this is the worst part, until you really start it. Thank you for your words.

Thanks, that's so nice! (I feel like in one of those support groups:"We love you, drunken goldfish"! ). It's also cool that you took the time to read everyone's "confessions" and respond. I must say nothing too horrific has come up yet .
