So we check in and are ushered to the VIP lounge check in for some reason. They give us a beautiful room on the 17th floor but it's perfectly non-smoking and my mom doesn't want to have to put in makeup to step out and have a cig. So we move to a smoking room with a view of the air conditioning units. FML.

Mom's happy though. I can't believe I'm about to type this but I may have to step into the casino to get some fresh air. Lol.

I'm $50 up. :cool:
 
One of the most annoying and confusing things I've ever had to do in my life...is book a vacation package for Universal Studios Orlando.

I go to book a package that is supposed to include park tickets and a hotel stay...only to find out, it isn't actually a "package" at all and you just have to book everything yourself individually on multiple pages...and then things that were supposed to be included for free are listed as additional add-ons you pay extra for? Ugh.

The Wizarding World really isn't worth it...

For any non-Americans wondering what all this talk of Hobby Lobby is, it's a Christian-owned store that sells hobby supplies like balsa wood and train sets and fake flowers, etc.. The Supreme Court just ruled that as a company they can deny their female employees access to birth control as provided by their health insurance company because it's morally reprehensible to their religious beliefs. While this seems horrible in every way to human rights, the decision does pave the way for lawsuits regarding animal rights and companies who are, say, Hindu, who can mandate that they not comply with a request that would harm an animal because it's morally reprehensible to their religious belief that animals are sacred. There's a lot of great liberal insight going both directions on this decision. I personally don't agree with the decision based on the graphic above. They are as a company still facilitating abortion while pretending they aren't and making their employees suffer their game.

I'm thinking about getting Barney a Thundershirt. It makes them feel secure. My neighborhood sounds like a warzone for about a week. They have fireworks stands the next town over and street thugs love them some fireworks.

WHen I got my own place I took pride in the kitchen being vegetarian. I even got grumbly when my friends staying the night wanted to store their steak leftovers in my fridge from dinner out. Now that I am feeding a cat, all that is out the window. There are little shards of meat in my sink at all times. :straightface: There's this trend in cheap canned cat food to have the meat cut in shreds and she doesn't eat it all and it sticks to the sink plug holes when I clean her bowl and makes the kitchen smell like cat food. When these kittens are weaned and distributed she's going back to DRY.

...so I'm sitting here listening to music to cheer me up. 3 songs in and I'm feeling better. Music could always console me when nothing and nobody else can. And then, out of nowhere... that song comes on.

It all come flooding back. The good, the bad, the f***ing horrible. I remember it all. And it dawned on me how much I miss you.

I thought I was over it.. Over you.. ..I was I was I was! This wasn't supposed to happen. And now I'm more confused than ever :(

Make it stop. Make it go away.

I don't know how I'm supposed to look you in the eye when you ask if… ....

I empty my cat's meat bowl into the toilet. I agree that the smell is putrid.
