My kidney stone was kicking my ass today. It's taking me a while to pass them. I was fine yesterday, didn't even take any Vicodin, and today--BAM! At least it's probably almost over.

I'm watching this show, "Bulging Brides" on WE!, and I am SO sick of this calorie-counting culture. I'm thin and slim and watch what I eat, but I never count calories. I'd never want myself to become so obsessed with my body that I would start doing that.

Oh I thought of something else, not of brides of surplus weight, but a surplus ...else... I'm sorry about your kidney stone, hope you get better!
And I heard so many things I failed to understand at all

Hey huney! I just love that avatar -a gorgeous mug against a nice background color

Sorry to hear the (hopefully) last stone is having 'one for the road' on ya. Take Vicodin. Now. Or pass it my way if you don't need it I wonder how bysshe is doing with her rocks.

Good luck, grin and bear it That one should make a nice pendant.

I feel your pain. Literally. I hope it passes soon!

Yes, dammit. I got the lead pipe in the kidney two nights ago. Since then, it's been unpleasant twinges. However, I had a strong twinge last night and I've been feeling okay since. I don't think I passed the stone, though. A few hours after that, I had a dull ache in the other kidney. I'm hoping that it's nothing.

    Oh, be very glad.

How's the house coming? Any news on the neighbors?

Have you had them before? I passed one (I think), and it was okay, but this one is kicking my ass. Sometimes one of your kidneys hurting can make your whole back hurt, so maybe it's nothing. I hope you feel better!

Oh dear, get better. That really sucks. *whispers* are you having to check your pee each time?

I haven't looked thru the paper today about my neighbors. Doubt it will hit the 'big' news. His brother was there yesterday fixing the front door. I think he just got out of jail. I asked him about last night and he said 'oh someone's hating on someone' (like someone made it up -right) and 'i don't know what the cops were looking for' (I do) and 'we're getting a lawyer' (goood--you're gonna need it).

I haven't seen any signs of life next door, but I know Mom got out of jail yesterday and the kids are being taken care of. I don't really have much sympathy for Mom anymore knowing/letting that 'activity' go on in her house with kids around... aiding and abeting.

For the record, I do not live in the ghetto

This is my first one. My dad has had them for years so I knew it was only a matter of time. My back had been sore for about a month before the stone moved, but I just thought it was a muscle thing. I know differently now.

I think I'm doing well, so far. I hope you're feeling better soon!

I'm with you. I don't have any sympathy for Mom for putting her children in that situation. I do feel bad for them for having to go through such a frightening experience, though. I don't understand people sometimes.

ive had a wonderful last day of spring break. Jason and I got up early and went to AC Moore and Old Navy and Staples, had a bite to eat at starbucks, went home and finished cleaning up the house so it looks decent, and my friend came over and we made a fake wound to practive wound dressing changes on. She's left now, Jason's busy and I'm here forcing myself to work on my assessment sheet, but I dont feel stressed at all. I'm eating my bad little chocolate donuts with my second cup of steaming hot caramel vanilla cream coffee, and life is pretty goddamn good, and I'm happy to feel this way consistently for the last 6 days or so. Things are looking up. Thank you impending spring...

No doubt. With wild kids in tow and a husband who takes forever... Maybe a forklift will run me over and put me out of my misery.

The only upside was that I didn't have to meet anyone there at any particular time....I went/purchased on my own terms

Ah! Home Despot! We did Menard's on Friday. I picked out a new sink and faucet for the kitchen, as our faucet handle broke off the other day and we were planning to get new sink anyway as we renovate the kitchen. I think he's back there now with the sprogs, picking up the bits and pieces to install the sink.

It was a very dry experience, Friday, although I do get to pick whatever I want. My tastes are simple, I chose quickly.

Home-improvement is wonderful when it happens. We have some wire sticking out of a junction box in the kitchen ceiling. A friend was over visiting once, and she pointed at the ceiling and asked, "What happened?" I was confused until I realized she was talking about the wires. I told her they'd always been like that (6 years since we moved in) and she was horrified.

I also have enough flooring in my garage to do the remaining two bedrooms upstairs, and new tile for my kitchen floor. It looks great and is very functional in boxes on the garage floor...
